  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a question just wondering if any one experienced same problem, today I noticed water dripping inside from front left A-Pillar, not sure if there’s been a recall for this or the roof drain is plugged.
Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance guys

cheers..

I haven't heard about that one before - might be a plugged drain. I'm sure others will chime in.

Like mentioned above, I also guess that it could be an sunroof drain hose issue. Best case it will just need to be reattached by only removing the A-pillar trim to access it. Worst case, the hose split and will need to be taped with water proof tape until the hose can be properly replaced to minimize the water intrusion.

You can also try clearing the sunroof drain holes of any blockage in case the water is just pooling in the sunroof due to a blockage and flowing down into the cabin by way of the pillars.

Thank you @carguy75 yeah that could be the case, there must be some blockage. Is it easy to remove the trim without breaking any tabs or damaging the trim itself ?

I believe that the pillar can be easily pried off with a panel tool, however I have not removed my pillar on my Genesis so this is only speculation on my part. However, in most cases the A-pillar trim can be pulled off without much effort.
