  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2015 Hyundai Genesis 5.0 (non ultimate). Last week I was pulling out of driveway and I shifted the car to drive and it just revved but would not move. Car was towed, and currently awaiting a new transmission , but awaiting Hyundai Corporate to approve it. The car only has 36,200 miles on it and has had a slew of problems.

I have opened a case with Hyundai Corporate to see what can be done, I am done with this car. Does anyone have any experience with a trade/buy back from Hyundai? I really don't want to get a lawyer involved, but the car has been nothing but problems.

1. 2 Head units
2. 2 back up cameras
3. Rims replaced, rims repaired (3) for paint peeling
4. Sunroof unable to be fixed
5. Trunk springs replaced
6. AC not working properly
7. Front Turn signals blowing out every couple months
8. Hard Engine vibration at startup
9. Parking sensors (although they say this is due to other cars in front of you)
10. Weatherstrip around doors replaced
11 . Plastic covering the speedometer replaced
12. Drive Side door panel coming apart
13. Clock - Electrical issues - resetting
14. Hood virbration

and on and on.

Any thoughts on navigating this process are appreciated.

Sheesh sorry to hear about your car; it does seem like you got a bad-egg. I'd be ticked too.

Wow....sorry I can't provide feedback... but seems like the transmission and other items (maybe not the wheels) would be covered under warranty. I would take it back for every item that is a problem until they resolve it. This will give you a record of the number of times you tried to get each item repaired. Check out the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act and any 'lemon' laws for your state.
