  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Has anyone had this issue before? I have been reading into hot air on one side and cold other, but yesterday my passenger side completely stopped blowing and now the rear is out too. driver side blowing perfect, however.

My vents act weird on occasion - Restarting the car usually does the trick.

it's weird, that usually worked for me, but the last two days it was consistently out and the car was restarted about 3-5 times over the last two days. It still persists

After a re-start, do you try to cycle through the various vent settings to recover correct operation?

I've had to do that occasionally as well...

tried that and it didn't work. somehow it started magically working yesterday (Wednesday). after the 5th consecutive day of not working lol. and has been working consistently. no clue what has cause this but i guess 5 days is the charm for my 2015

Ghost in The Machine....! 🤷‍♂️

My opinion is that it's a sensor issue. An older car of mine (a Mitsubishi) used to get stuck on the temp selections, it used a potentiometer to "sense" it's position on the valve that opened flow to the heater core. It was a dead spot in the resistance strip. when I requested temp changes, it didn't know where it was (or thought wrong) and just never moved. When I replaced that sensor, it worked fine after that. I suspect a similar failure on these vents, which is why I thing asking it to move between settings and a reboot can remedy this failure.

Question: How is it possible to have electronics issues at random? We once had a low tire pressure warning, and then it went away. Any ideas?

Electronic issues are a nightmare.

The warning disappearing could be due to a number of things. The simplest would be a sudden change in outdoor air temp, like overnight temps vs when the sun begins to rise
