  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Anyone dealt with the black handles discoloring to a lighter color? Any way to clean or renew the black color?

Same thing happened on the tops of my 2015 Montecito Blue colored handles. Clear coat was deteriorating so the only fix was to completely repaint them. Repainting them requires the door to be disassembled and the handles to be completely removed from the car, so the labor costs are a bit high.

First body shop I went to quoted me around $150 per handle, but I found another shop that did it for $100 per handle. A bit pricy for just a cosmetic fix, but mine looked really bad and it always bugged me as it was the first thing I would notice it every single time I got in the car. They look much better now after being repainted.

Thank you for the response. Good to know what this will entail.
