If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey guys looking for your opinion. Im looking at a fully loaded 2015 3.8 Genesis with 46k miles and they want 26k out the door for everything. Do you think thats a fair price and is that too many miles?

Price varies by region and condition. Last October I traded mine with 39,000 miles and very good condition. Dealer sold it for 27k so you are in the ballpark. I'd start negotiation at 24k.

Thanks for the input. They want 24k for the car but with taxes and fees comes to 26k flat. I work at a HY dealer but we rarely get these cars and the package I want, so I might just have to go with this one as it has the package I want.

I bought my 2014 3.8 a year ago for 21K and it had 20K miles on it. I felt that I got it for about a thousand less than they wanted. Make them an offer and then walk away. I think they will call you back and sell it. I have been quite satisfied with mine, has 34K miles on it now and performing fine. Did have to put new tires on it, from Tirebuyer.com Nexen 5000 plus, 4 tires on car for about $550 which included a $79 alignment. Good luck. Mike S.

If it just has the tech package, it's not fully loaded. There's the signature and ultimate packages as well. What features come with the car so we can narrow it down for you?

Loaded, but not fully loaded. Th Ultimate has a HUD, larger Nave screen, power trunk heated/cooled seats and a few other goodies. It would probably be listed for closer to 27k.
Oh okay, that has the heated and cooling seats and the lane departure stuff. I am going to check it out tomorrow. If it’s checks out I think I’m going to snag it.

Howdy, I purchased a 2015 3.8 with the ultimate package in Dec of 2017. 30K miles. $ 26,000 before tax. Purchased in Atlanta and brought home to Texas.
Looked for 4 months all over the US. 46k is not to many miles for the 3.8 eng. in my opinion.
I found 2015 Genesis did not vary much in price. Your in the ballpark. If it's super clean go for it.

I got it for 23ish. And 25,200 otd. I’m happy with the price.

The deals will only get better as time goes buy for the 2nd Gen Genesis's. Nice buy!

I bought mine 2 weeks ago in Atlanta. 2016 CPO Genesis 3.8 Tech Package with 45K miles. Out the door with Tag & Title $25K. But more importantly, because of the high mileage, I got a 10 yr/120Kmiles/$0 deductible HPP Platinum plan Fidelity Warranty extended warranty for an additional $2,375. I also bought a $1K Allstate Complete warranty which covers glass, small dents, key fob, seat tears 5 year warranty. I'm probably going to cancel that one. Total was a little over 28K.

Given the electronics on the car, I think the extended warranty is probably worth taking. A single claim should cover that cost. I'm covered till 2028 and 120,000 miles.

I specifically wanted the Tech Package since the Ultimate can't upgrade to Android Auto and that was a mandatory requirement for me.

Edit: I just went over the paperwork and realized that I hadn't actually bought the HPP Platinum Warranty, but rather some warranty sold by a Fidelity Warranty Services company. I'm going to have to talk to the Finance guy! Who knows how good these guys are.

This is what I have

Usually the extended warranty coverage is from initial purchase, not your purchase. So that 2016 Genesis might only be covered until 2015 or 2016. Did that Fidelity Warranty specifically say it covered you for 10 years from the date you bought it?

I'm looking to buy a CPO Genesis with the tech package here in GA as well. What was your non-out-the-door price? That is, before tax, tag & title, if you don't mind me asking?

You are right. My apologies. It's covered till 2026. Not 2028. Typo. However, there are a couple of dealers here that are covering 10 yr/100000 from date of purchase. But that's not Hyundai warranty either.

Selling price was $22,750. Before anything. I think I got a pretty good deal. Haven't seen it this low anywhere around here.

I bought a 2015 3.8 HTRAC Ultimate with 40k on it and added the HPP Platinum $0 deductible 10yr/120,000 mile. The extend warranty starts from the initial In-Service date, so I'm covered until December 31, 2024 or 120,000 miles. The dealer cost of that warranty is around $1900...sell price will vary, but from what I've seen it's around $2900-$3100. My OTD price was $26,000.

And I just noticed I typed "2015 or 2016" instead of "2025 or 2026" I SUPPOSE I can forgive your typo! ;-)

So taxes, title, etc, come to about 10% of the cost of the car. Good to know. The local dealer has a 2015 tech package with 21k miles and they're asking $28,000. Not the color I want (I'm looking for Montecito blue) but if it's still in their lot at the end of the month, maybe I'll bite. See if I can get it with the $0/10yr/120k HPP out the door for under $28k.
