2015 Genesis 9.2" Premium Head Unit Navigation Update

So I may just be overshooting the simplicity of this but I just tossed the updated navigation/head unit software onto an SD Card and I have found mixed instructions on how to proceed. A couple sources say to swap the card out then turn the car on to initiate the update. Other sources state you should have the car running and go into the settings to initiate it (where I guess you would swap out the SD card live). Looking to avoid bricking the head unit by taking the wrong steps.

If any 2015 Genesis Sedan owners could confirm on this process I'd appreciate it, thanks!

I think either way works. In my case, I've done this a half dozen times:
Start car
Swap out SD card
Take a ride for the 30 to 40 minutes it takes.

While it updates, you will not have radio, back up camera, but everything else is OK. Rather than leave the car idle, I take a ride. When done, the music comes back on and I go home.

I use the old card for the next update and download to it.

Much appreciated, oddly enough it wouldn't recognize the new SD card being put into the slot until I plugged something into the usb port as well. At that point it rolled the update. Thanks again!

I updated my software by downloading from the PC to a 32gb USB stick (28gb update) then just plugging in the USB and using update in the settings menu. I believe it just overwrites the SD CARD data
