2015 Genesis purschase input

My battery died on my 2015 5.0 Tech package, yesterday. Having some other random electrical problems that the dealer is looking at. I didn't buy the extended warranty when I had a chance (i.e., when it wasn't super-expensive). Not regretting that one...yet...

I am not sure if those come with Tech or Ultimate package seem to have more electrical issues compare to base one. Hopefully your getting fix soon.

New tires were installed by dealer prior to sale so I am ok with that.
I'm not sure if I can expect it same reliable as Toyota/Lexus/Infiniti/Honda? this is the first Korean car I ever purchase

I'm on my fifth. Better than any US or German car I've owned. i know Toyota and Honda are good, but rather bland so I never bought one.

It's a 4+ year old battery. Not uncommon for batteries to die at about that time. Just check that they put in the proper battery, not some cheapo.

In the Texas heat here, I consider getting over 3 years out of a battery a "win"...!

If you buy, get an extended warranty somewhere, especially if keeping the car for a few years.

just pick it up last night. Great ride and comfortable car. I am coming from Q50 so not as sporty as Q50 but very comfort. Still try to find right seating position, but overall I like it alot.

Know what you mean. I came out of a G35 Sport (pretty much the same underneath as a Q)... Bumps that used to hammer the G, I barely notice in the Genesis!

I searched a long time for Ibiza Blue - found one 400 mi away, but it got sold before I could get to it. But I like my Empire State Grey - My friend calls it the "Korean Mafia Staff Car"...

I only use for Nav, carplay and back up cam. I never touch other function at all. Hope itwill not die for no reason since replacement cost is too high and look like no aftermarket unit will work on our genesis

You should fine, the failure rate is minimal compared to the first generation, which was low to begin with...
Having said that, the 10 year extended warranty does buy a piece mind, for those rare instances...

Hey Skip, I gotta say I do love that Empire State Grey just as much. Had I found the right one before the Ibiza, I probably would have been in - the way the metallic sparkles from the distance is sharp ... she's lookin' good!

I decided to keep her but first week she stay in the shop mostly for some issues need to correct and all paid by dealer (brake job include front and rear rotor with pad replacement and front bumper repaint due to poor paint job from dealer, repaint plastic roof side molding due to sun damage, last one is rear driver window seal and trim due to damage) yes, dealer paid for them all and I could not ask for better deal than this so ofcourse I decide to keep it lol

It also goes bluish under the right conditions... I did see another Gen w/ ESG & Ivory interior that looked sharp but that got away from me before I could act on it as well. I'm pretty happy with the black interior though - as it's more charcoal than pure black.
