  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi,
Has anyone noticed that that their drivers side mirrors folds or unfolds slightly slower than the passenger side? No unusual sounds during operation as mentioned by some of the other users

These mirrors are better off ,left in the open position unless absolutely necessary. If someone walking by see’s them folded in and decided to give them a pull it’ll strip the plastic gears.$$$$ if your warranty is up....

Not sure I get your logic. What would happen if someone walking by sees them unfolded and decided to shove them closed. Won’t it strip the plastic gears.$$$$ if your warranty is up?

I'm planning on leaving them in the open position in the winter...dont want any water freezing the gears

Yes I agree..also it's a nice feature to have the folded mirrors. Just wondering if anyone else noticed the difference in the mirror folding time.

I don't leave mine on "Auto" I just manually fold them if it's tight quarters - preserves the mechanism. Haven't really noticed a speed diff though. They seem the same.
