2015 Genesis Sedan Outside door handle

Can not open drivers front door from outside. Will open from inside. tried locking and unlocking door several times and same condition. Removed inside panel, window regulator panel and all related parts to gain access and remove door lock assemble. ( what a lot of things to undo just to remove door lock. ) Nothing is broken on the door handle. Outside handle seem to press on cable pawl which then goes to a sealed door lock module. This seems to be the problem, but am trying to verify operation before replacing.
Any input would be appreciated.

My 2015 sedan driver door has the same problem. Door lock will not open from the outside. The handle pulls out but does not actuate the lock to unlock. The interior door handle works fine and electronics work fine. I suspect the door lock actuator failed and needs to be replaced.

Replaced door lock actuator and the lock works properly again. A couple of YouTube videos show the key steps. Took me 5 hours or so over 2 days. The actuator part lists for $280 or so but can be purchased for $80 to $150.
