  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey so I was trying to buy a 2015 Genesis 5.0 Sedan online and for some reason (pretty sure it was in error) they listed the ABS fuse recall as a stop sale as it wasn't serviced yet. I was wondering if this was an error on their end as I never heard of a stop sale from Genesis for that recall, I have tried contacting their support and they were confused too as they haven't heard of one and think it's an error. Any clarification would be greatly appreciated thanks!

There is a safety recall on that. I have no idea about the legalities of a sale though. NEW cars with an open recall cannot be sold. Maybe they are just being cautious for liability reasons. The fix takes just minutes at the dealer so the seller should be able to correct it quickly.

For further clarification it was from Carvana and their policy is that buying a car with an open safety recall is at the buyer's discretion. I was just confused as google'ing showed no info of Genesis ever issuing a stop sell.

The recall was issued long after they were sold as new by Genesis so they would have no reason to issue a stop sell. The recall was just issued last year. It covered 2015 to 2020 models and the 2021 was being sold at the time.

Yeah they opened a support ticket regarding it so hopefully it was just a mistake and they rectify it before my delivery date in a couple day.

I saw that car Genesis 5.0 with the stop sell notice on Carvana and was wondering the same thing. But as in previous post I thought it might be the ABS recall as well. A simple fix now that it is available. Good luck. I almost bought one on their site as well.

Carvana said it's delivering tomorrow on the 25th so fingers crossed! Seems like it was just an error on their end and the purchase so far is proceeding as normal.

Awesome. Enjoy, I have 2012 3.8 tech. 83k. I wanted to trade for one I like on Carvana. The problem is my car is just so nice still. But 7 years in with it, an upgrade would be nice. Cool to chat with someone doing the same thing almost same car. When you are shopping these sites like carvana, the process seems so unusual compared to what I had been so accustomed to. But I like it. Prices a little higher, but all good cars and if you have a trade they pay the most of anyone I have been shopping with hands down. Maybe share with us how the delivery went. Good luck!

Hey so i just got the car delivered and I gotta say it's beyond perfect. The detailing team did a great job and there's literally 0 blemishes on the outside and the interior is pristine. The engine is absolutely astounding managing to be really smooth but also lays down the power when you punch it. And the technology is just LOADED. Delivery was also early and I was done in about 20ish mins. Would highly recommend you try to get one for yourself.

Enjoy! I've had mine since new and still love driving it or just seeing it in the driveway. Even though it's a 2015 it doesn't look dated to me at all so I don't feel the need to get the "newer, bigger, better" car like I always have.

The only thing that is a bit of a concern is that gas guzzling V8 for city driving and the increasing price at the pump. But really, it's not THAT much more to run it than the V6 and life is short - so have at it!

Sorry about the gas prices. Wonder why that happened. No politics--I know. I will be nice and say I pray that every pol whether I voted for them or not does what is right. Not sure my prayers are being answered. But I will keep at it.
