  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello all!

Well finally decided to sell my Genny.

Please check out my eBay listing for details!

Asking $23,495 OBO

2015 Hyundai Genesis Ultimate | eBay

Thank you!

PS- This forum was always great and who knows, maybe I will get the Genny itch and be back again!

Hello,
It has not sold yet. I took it off eBay for now since all I was getting was nonsense and low ball offers.
Most everyone expects a bargain off of eBay. Your price seems to be on the high end of what I've seen, and people see the price of a base model and expect to pay that for an Ultimate. Good luck, hope you get near your price.

I'm still too new to the forum so I can't start a private message yet. @Dream951 please let me know a better method to contact you to go over your car in more detail to see if I'm still interested. Thanks

Where are you from? I'm in Wisconsin. If you're near we could meet up somewhere, if not, what would you like to know? Most of the basics are in the Ebay listing and you should still be able to view it even tho it ended.

FYI - I did relist the car on eBay.

I'm in Ohio but I don't have an issue getting a 1-way rental.

My questions:
Why are you selling?
How many miles were on the car when you purchased it? Dealer or private?
Service history? At dealer or other? Original rotors/pads/etc..?
Did you put the springs and wheels on, or 1st owner? Any other mods?
Would like closer pics showing the scratches/dings.
Width of the 20s and tire sizes, and remaining tread? What tire is it?

I'm selling because I bought a house and need a truck, which I bought, just a beater but runs great, and honestly I also don't want a car payment anymore.

I bought the car with 3X,XXX miles on it, don't remember the exact number. It was a CPO from a dealer, which has the service history on it and I write down the things I do to it, like oil changes and tire rotations. I only work 4 miles from home so the miles stayed low and occasionally take it to Minnesota to visit my wife's grandparents.

Always garage kept as well, and never smoked in.

Still original everything as far as I know. I bought the car bone stock from the dealer, so I had the lowering springs put on and aligned at my mechanics shop, windows tinted 20% all around and put OEM fog lights in that are wired to stay on with the ignition. No splicing of wires, all wires ran to a ground and a fuse for power. No other mods.

My summer wheels Kumho Ecsta PS91 255/35 front and 295/30 rears with plenty of life on them as well as the original tires that came with the car, which are Continential Extreme Contact with both sets having about 75% tread remaining.

Hope that answers most of your questions. I have attached pics of the dents as best as I could (Sorry my car is dirty, just came back from Minnesota over Memorial Day weekend.)

Thank you so much for replying with all of that detail. Very nice looking car! I don't care so much for the mods, really just mileage and condition and color vs. other Ultimate's in my area. I'm still too green on this site to be able to private message you, and I don't have an eBay account anymore, but my offer to drive to WI and get your car would be under $20k. I understand that's probably seen as a lowball offer....it's just where I'm at with this one. Thanks again for posting and taking the time to answer my questions!

I don’t know exactly how interested you are but I would do $20k on the head with the factory wheels only and include the factory springs with the car, they would just need to be installed.

There is a lien on the car but I can pay it off first if needed.

Anyways thanks for the interest.

Were all those scratches and dings on the car from the first guy leasing the car? What shape are the OEM wheels in? You say 75% tread left on those...so the tires were replaced from the dealer when they CPO'd it..?

Yes the scratches and dings were there when I bought it. The oem wheels are in great shape. I can send pics later when I get home. And yes they were new tires from the dealer when I bought it.

Thank you kind sir! Also, what is your zip? What about carfax from the dealer? And what were all the maintenance items completed either at the dealer or that you wrote down that you mentioned?

My zip is 53154 (Should come up Oak Creek, WI).

I don't have the carfax, but its a clean title and IIRC the carfax only stated the oil changes tire/tire rotations done and renewal of registration from the previous owner. I do know the previous owner had something done to the drivers front door under warranty (I believe it was just an adjustment to the alignment of the door).

I have only done oil changes and tires rotations and never had any other warranty work done since it was never needed.

I have attached pictures of the wheel and a few close ups of some curb rash, again most was already there when I purchased the car. I did put the original wheels back on since the other pics where taken for eBay. When I do any sort of longer trips, I only use the oem wheels and tires in case I had any flats etc..

Hi - I apologize it's been a few days. Have been test driving a lot and currently have a '16 3.8L base in Caspian as a loaner. I'm in the same boat as you...don't want any car payments. It's an extremely nice car but even at your price it's not the best decision I should make. It would have been a fun trip, as I have family in Pleasant Prairie! GLWS my friend, and thank you again for all you great feedback. I'm sure it will be helpful for others in our community here.
