  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2015 Reliability

If someone asked me how I like my car, I answered, " I don't like it, I LOVE it!":p

My heart said "loaded Audi A8L" but my wallet said "loaded Genesis". I sent the other $50K I saved buying the Genesis to work and ended up with a really nice car.

We're about to update our stats again, to cover through the end of 2014. While the stats aren't quite final as I type this, it seems safe to report that the 2015s continue to rarely require repairs. (Note: we don't count free software updates as repairs.)

Additional participants always helpful.

I have been having an issue with my TPMS. The warning has randomly come on every few days since I have had the car (purch'd 12/28/2014). Took it to dealer once in mid January, and they found no problem. I went about a week with no error, the it started again. The tire pressure is spot on at 33 once cool, and when I have checked after a drive, it is typically ard 36-37, so no tire pressure issues or anything going out of range. This past week, including today, the car will not read/ register the tire pressure, in the morning, on my 30 mile drive to work. However, the warning light comes on at the same point of my drive each day, approximately 20 miles into it (I even count down from 10 as a joke with my daughter, right before it turns on). It will not turn off the rest of the drive, But is off when I restart the car at lunch time, then will not come on again the rest of the day, except for a brief moment, sporadically, and not every day. The TPMS Gremlin is driving me nuts, but I have no time to go to dealer for at least another week or two. I live in South Florida, so cold temps are a non factor. anyone else experiencing this with 2015 model?

14,500 miles and no mechanical issues, no vibrations (sunroof or otherwise) and everything is working like it should. I did have the radio switching issue but that was taken care of after the radio did an OTA update a few days later and has not happened since.

Interior materials (including lower plastics) still look good); upper dash materials/controls and finishes still look brand new. Exterior is showroom shiny as well (I expected to see more spiders and swirls but it's holding up well).

If there is anything to complain about, it's that the rain sensing wipers occasionally have a mind of their own but that's a limitation of the tech and not the car. Blind spot warning can be a bit sensitive.

Which radar detector do you have, where did you mount it AND why did did you choose that particular one.

It's a mid-level Escort (can't remember the model right now, but I'm happy with it), mounted with their Stickycup and hardwired to the fuse panel to the left of the steering wheel. I chose that one because of positive reviews I read at the time.

2015 genesis htrac ibizi blue, ultimate. this is my third genny, 09 had a few issues, '12 5.0 burned oil a quart every 500-700 miles, they called it "usage" and said it was normal, despite a few misgivings I went with the 2015 wanted the awd so settled for the 6 cylinder, still SMH as to why they are selling the 8 cylinder with awd in canada but not in the US. I started to get intermittent warning lights, electronic steering, TPMS, and rarely the generic check engine symbol, had to look this up it was not a familiar symbol, it turned out that the battery was not charging, needs a new alternator, this was yesterday friday, they won't have one until wed, (way too long IMO), drove the car and figured to be back Wed. promptly lost steering and brakes, luckily limped back to dealership. anyone else have this issue?

Both my 2009 (60,000 miles) and my 2015 (8500 miles) have been flawless except for some problems with the steering wheel limit switches on the 2009 (fixed by a TSB).
