2016 Genesis JodDial Map update version 11/30/2020

Hi everyone,

First, I want to thank all the Gen Owner for helping me out while back when I had a question about my Gen.

Today, I want to share my experiece after proceeding map update for my 2016 Genesis Jod dial version.

I remember while a go. I had to goto Mapsoft or some website to purchase the newsest map to update my nav which I didn't want to purchase since I use more phone navigtion. However new map update version is 11/30/2020 and it is really good. Compare to 16gb data to 28gb data.

2. Click on Update your vehicle with the latest map update

3. Click on Navigation Update. then follow the instruction.

You'll need to buy a 32GB class 10 SD CARD, I got mine from local micro center for under $6.

Can't explain all the awesome features on new updates. you have to download it & install.
there is a new feature on MEDIA - It's called. sound of nature Also, Map moves smooother than the previous.

Hello ATL...I also updated my 16 ultimate...and love 99% of it. Seems that sound of nature media feature you mention MAY have eliminated one older portion I found useful in the POI category. My older version used to have a listing for golf courses that no longer is listed in the POI in this updated one.I found the sound of nature while exploring the update. Found it to be a novel idea...just not sure how practical/useful it will be for me going forward. The golf course listings were very useful to me as I do that quite a bit during the warmer months here in MI. I still get them via address entry in the GPS no doubt,however, it was a bit easier and convenient when listings showed up under POI(points of interest)...my only gripe. I emailed MapNSoft to suggest that it be reinstalled in a future update. Will not hold my breathe but remain hopeful ...
