2016 - Navigation Map Day Night Mode Issue - latest update installed

Hi all,

I've been enjoying my G80 for a few months now and I installed the latest software update from Mapnsoft. It was a simple process and I like the Car Play feature. What is aggravating me is that it seems like now, when I'm NOT using Car Play, the day/night feature of the Navi map seems to have a mind of its own. Usually, what it does is goes into night mode, and will STAY in night mode no matter how bright/sunny it is. I've tried changing settings, ensured the time was correct, but nothing seems to help. It seems like if the car starts in day mode during the day, its fine for the rest of the day. If it starts in night mode durring the day (ie: in the garage), there's a 70-80% chance it won't come out of night mode no matter how bright it is outside.

Anyone else see anything like this? All the other photo-sensor things seem to work fine (mirror dimming and lights) so I'm not sure I want to "throw hardware" at it just yet. I opened a ticket with Mapnsoft, but was curious if anyone else had the problem.

Yes, I have seen it on my 2018 G80 BASE. Started when I installed V14 map update. It works normal most of the time but sometimes it stays in night mode. Sometimes it will come out of night mode after a few miles and some times it won't. I have not been able to find a pattern of when it will fail and not fail. Some times it will go to daytime if I change anything on the display (like go to full screen map mode and back to split screen). Some times I have to go to setup and change from auto mode to day mode then back to auto mode. That seems to always fix the problem until the next time it happens, maybe a week later.
I also have opened a ticket with Mapnsoft .

thestumper, were you able to get the update for this problem? I also had a ticket at MapnSoft but I never heard anything back from them.

My Canadian 2016 3.8 Luxury model touch screen is doing exactly the same thing after the latest map update about 2 weeks ago.
I wonder if there will be a download to correct this for us too?
