  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I looked at a few 2014s and 1 2015 ultimate and I noticed the screens come on when the car is started. I just bought a 2016 and the rear screens need to be turned on every time the car is started. Is there a way to have them come on automatically?

Anyone? If you have a 16 can you see if yours come on automatically?

I have a '16 Ultimate. I also have to turn on the screens each time.

I wish they turned on automatically.

If I remember correctly there's a setting somewhere that you can toggle between automatic and manual activation of the screens.

I looked everywhere and can't find anything. I noticed on the 14 they default to on. It seems 15/16 they default to off

I found the setting in the Display Settings menu on my 2014, and I can confirm that the screens automatically illuminate when the car is turned on if the setting is switched to the ON position. They will only turn off if the setting is manually toggled to OFF or, obviously, if the vehicle is shut off.

Unfortunately, when I was looking into this, I found that my passenger side rear screen won't illuminate. Driver's works fine. Hope it's covered by the HPP warranty I have!

Passenger side rear screen replaced under HPP warranty, part was $3,700 and labor $300. Ouch!
