  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have looked at several 2016 Genesis vehicles with the “Ultimate” package. Some have jog dials and some don’t. Can you choose the smaller 8” screen without the jog dial over the 9.2” screen with it.

The reason I ask is that I might look at the lesser (non jog dial) Ultimate if that means I will be able to upgrade to get Apple Car Play.

I will probably keep my next car for 8 years so I am not sure which way is the best to go. Everyone seems to like having the jog dial but I like Apple Car Play, too.

Someone is BSing you about the package.
Never saw an Ultimate without the dial and larger screen. Check to see that you have the following for an Ultimate.

ULTIMATE PACKAGE
Genesis 3.8 Tech Package plus:
+ Genuine matte finish wood trim and aluminum trim
+ Heads-up display
+ Dual-mode vent control with CO2 sensor
+ Premium Driver Information System navigation with 9.2" HD Display
+ Lexicon® 17-speaker Discrete Logic 7® Surround Sound Audio System
+ Power trunk lid

You may be happy with the Tech package and Apple CP, but I prefer the other goodies of the Ultimate.

+1 he is right. I had the same decision and decided to get the one with the tech package.

So far. I like the adaptative cruise the most. Don’t really care for the auto hold but you can chose when you want it. Just like the lane keep.

Same as above. All Ultimate have jog dial as you scroll through pics.

Thanks. I think some of the cars are listed as Ultimate on the car sites, but really aren’t. I think today is the day I drive home in a 2016 Ultimate. I just don’t think I am going to worry about Apple Car Play.

Most dealers, even Hyundai dealers, are clueless about what cars have the Ultimate package. If they don't have the original window sheet available they just guess.

They don't even know the hierarchy of the packages.
