2018 G80 Gear Shift Knob fit for 2015 model?

Is it possible to install the 2018 G80 Gear/Shift knob on a 2015/16 model?

I stumbled upon the below image, and it occurred to me. Let me know what you think guys.

I would have serious doubt. The release button for disengaging from Park is different, so the internal mechanism would be different.
Not a simple plug n play

That looks like the Ultimate with the shift by wire. Not at all the same AFAIK.

This is available, lot of Genesis drivers in Korea do this, they replace the gear knob from Kia K9, Equus etc. They even lower the gear knob to look as closest to the electric g80 gear knob. Search in youtube

You can install it and set up hight as needed.
I installed it on multiple cars (all Genesis 2015) including mine.

You'll have to cut the metallic tube and adjust the plastic part for the button press in order to function normally.
