  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have the new 2018 genesis g80 sport black on black. I have already purchased the credit card key. (SOO much better) fits right in my wallet. I wanted to see if there are any performance upgrades that are available?

i got the uncle chip pro and am pushing 367 whp so thats a start. Im also looking into a couple things myself like a cold air intake

1.How much did the chip decrease/affect your gas mileage? 2. Did you self install?

honestly i didn't notice any gas milage difference when driven normally. driven hard expext 12-14 mpg. yes it was a self install, some double sided tape and some zip wires do the trick.

How much boost was added do you know? I would think a free flowing exhaust and some new down pipes will really open this car up, but at the sametime you may reach the hardcoded boost pressure limit.

anyone know of an exhaust upgrade, my only complaint about the G80 Sport is the sound!

Easiest way to make more power with a turbo charged motor is raise the boost. EZ-PZ in principle, but a bit more complicated in execution. I think it is best to accept/acknowledge that for some time to come there will be no tuner shops for this car; shops where you drive in, write a check and a week later your car is returned to you with 100 additional hp. This means you will have to do it on your own. First, establish a base line with on a chassis dyno. Use this dyno for all future testing as chassis dynos do vary a great deal. Buy a boost gauge, something you can hang on your "A Pillar" at eye level.
Do your research. Learn about turbo sizing, waste gates and intercoolers.

I would think first takeout the small inner cooler with a bigger one and it will improve dramatically add cold air induction and better exhaust system. It is notgetting much boost compared to the systems on the Cadis and lexxus etc. It should be farly easy to get at least 450hp out of it

Get the K/N dual intake, JUN BL exhaust, and a Racechip GTS and be done. Roughly 2,500$ should take you to about 422hp / 507ftlb torque. The cats are hugely restrictive. Don’t forget to upgrade your plugs as well.

Burger Tuning has been working on a very powerful tune for this engine. They are the guys with the JB4 tune that makes the BMW's so much more powerful.

I like your style, that’s awesome. Any idea of what that chip adds to stock 3.3tt. Racechip is stating 57hp/133lb. Of course that’s an $$800 setup versus Burger. Known for tuning the Germans reliably, I’d have to probably lean towards there chip (Burger), not to mention price. Thanks for your input and videos. Nice job.

Yes sir. Same engine and similar layout (ish). In fact the Stinger exhaust will work on your G80 as well as intakes. Hyundai owns Kia.

.
do they use the same kn air cleaners also then?

They should go right in. The air box filters for Stinger GT 3.3tt should fit G80 Sport.

This is a really good explanation as well as showing the almost identical engine bay for the K/N Cold Air Intake install. The first of video is tribute to car owners dog. RIP. The G80 Sport has a more thorough sealing of the engine versus the more generic hood liner on the Stinger. The strut braces are aluminum on the Stinger but plain black steel on the G80 Sport. Was thinking of order them from Kia. I think they would really look good in the engine bay. Just FYI. Enjoy.

So this may be a dumb question. Did making a change like this void your warranty?
