  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2018 genesis g80 sport twin turbo performance upgrades?

Does anybody else have a problem with the audio on the install video? It is out of sync.

I have the new 2018 genesis g80 sport black on black. I have already purchased the credit card key. (SOO much better) fits right in my wallet. I wanted to see if there are any performance upgrades that are available?
Nice!!! I so want that key. what was the price may I ask?

Great R&D here from Tork Motorsport. ECU apparently is the right way to go about serious hp/lbft versus piggyback tuning. Now how much an additional ecu is, and it’s a true Stinger ecu from Kia. Identical to G80 Sport ecu?...should be, could be, but maybe not. Great information in the video. I’m researching price and if they are interoperable. Same engine so should.

So this may be a dumb question. Did making a change like this void your warranty?
I've never heard of anyone losing their warranty over an air filter. However, I would not say it's impossible.

My and I repeat MY experience so far with the k/n “factory” air filter swap using factory boxes is absolutely no issue. Think of it as changing your oil to your brand. As long as in spec no issue.
This is my 4th Genesis Sedan (2-v6, 1-v8, and now Sport). Ive swapped every one of them out.

However, that said once you go for dual intakes and new boxes, it still shouldn’t matter, but the visual “performance” aspect may start to raise eyebrows. It’s not right...but dealers think you did this what else have you done. I’d ask the dealership upfront and get ok from a knowledgeable service department. Ya..I just laughed as well at that.

Do factory filter swap for k/n no issue...anything above that ask or swap back for service appts. Dealers vary a lot. Remember it’s just my opinion and experience. Hope it helps.

My car is stock for servicing.... a wise man once told me.

Here’s the latest. It’ll work on G80 Sport but cost some $$.

Well if they can prove something went wrong due to the specific mod you make. Like air intakes aren’t going to void a trans or suspension issue or something else not related to intake. But have something get paste filters and into turbos...yes your going to have some explaining and $$$ to spend. It’s a sticky situation. Just my opinion and after talking to a cool service department manager. He’s put mods on his but works there so.....

It has 365 hp at the crank. Armen212 is claiming 367 Wheel HP, ie: after drivetrain losses

Hey TXV.

Can you elaborate on what you mean why the factory K/N filter swap?

Are service appointments at the dealer necessary? I bought a used with 50k miles and I thought I'd just go to an express oil for oil changes or something
