  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just bought a used 19 g70 3.3 and there is vibration/shaking at speed of 70 or higher. I know this is well known issue and dealer I purchased this vehicle did alignment before i picked up.
should i replace oem rotor/pads with aftermarket rotor/pads?

Only if the shaking is just when you're braking.
If you've got shaking/vibration when you're going 70 but NOT braking, just cruising on a smooth road, then it's likely you need to have your wheels balanced and your tires checked for proper inflation and any defects.
Since you bought it used, make sure all the tires are the same (brand, model, speed rating). Mixing tires or even just speed ratings can cause some squirrelly behavior at higher speeds.

Thank you for your explanation!
I will get wheel balance from tire shop or sth.

Go to a shop that has ROAD FORCE balancing equipment. They don't all have that.

How is this a well known issue? Heard of the pulsating brakes but not vibration at 70 or above.

I have a 17 g90, my problem turned out the be the brake caliper pistons. I had to push them in and out over and over until they freely moved with little to no effort. Every caliper had at least one piston that was stubborn. Problem solved.

While you have the wheels & tires off the car being road force balanced, have the shop check the runout on the wheels. You might have a slightly out-of-round wheel w/o other obvious physical damage.

Enjoy,
