  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Greetings Genesis G80 Sport owners,

Installed Sat Sep 7th the Race Chip GTS tune (link: https://www.racechip.us/shop/genesis/g80-from-2016/3-3-t-gdi-3342ccm-365hp-272kw-376lb-ft.html) and the HKS 45iL spark plugs all gaped @ .028" (from K8 Stinger Store link: K8 Stinger Store ) The install took me me a couple of hours to complete both mods. YouTube is a wonderful thing as I found a couple videos for the 3.3T engine that identified spark plug change without having to pull the top of the engine apart (Nice and worked out great!). Everything went smooth following the Race Chip provided instructions...I am NOT a mechanic but a able bodied person not afraid to get dirty as long as I understand a project in it's full scope. The before and after performance on my Genesis G80 Sport is FREAKING AMAZING...self timed I was pulling 0 to 60 mph easily under 5 secs like 4.5 secs on avg...my wife had the HOLY SHIT factor on her face when I took her out in it!!! Not having a dyno to verify the Hp...if I had to guess this G80 Sport is ponied up at least +430 Hp. This car has getty up and handling abilities that inspire me to want to be behind the wheel of this car all the time. My opinion the G80 Sport has the perfect balance of Sport & Luxury all around! I will most likely add three final mods in the very near future and call it done...1. Rear trunk spoiler (paint matched) now delivered, 2. Cold Air Intakes & 3. Dual oil catch cans (OCC'S)...these will add approx another 10 to 15 HP from the research I've done and the OCC's will help extend and protect the engine life. Hat's off to Race Chip they are as advertised...I had doubts but no more! I do recommend to use a high performance recommended spark plug with the Race Chip tune as it improves performance and enduring heat capability while under performance load. Peeps I am just a car enthusiast and loving my Genesis I don't and won't claim to be a know it all (I'm not) just a regular joe loving on his G80 Sport...having FUN!!!

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
3. Dual oil catch cans (OCC'S)...
I have already installed an OCC in the hose between the crankcase and PCV valve.

I'm curious where you will be installing the second OCC (on the EGR hoseline or 2 OCCs inline/serially betwixt crankcase and PCV valve)?

I did the RaceChip and plugs in early spring, no regrets at all. Just hooked up my sons obd2 blue tooth monitor, nice little device, gives you all engine stats in real time as well as performance times. My Genny had a full tank of top tier 91 and my son (220#) on board as well. Genny did consistent sub 4.5 second 0-60 times. well worth the price of the chip and plugs.
