  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The driver side now barely sprays anything and the passenger side dose not spray. The girl at the dealership swore the company that changed the windshield didn't touch those parts.
I saw no way to adjust or affect the functionality at all. I have a platinum warranty that's bumper to. bumper so either way they should fix it. It's scheduled for repair in a couple weeks.

Anyone ever run in to this after a windshield replacement?

I guess it's possible that they have pinched the washer hose somewhere between the cowl and frame it attaches to.

Unless the girl at the dealership is the one that replaced the windshield, she has no clue as to what the windshield did or did not do. Unless you follow the hoses yourself, they may never tell you if the hoses were pinched.

It goes in tomorrow morning for them to repair the washer Jets or get it working whatever the cause.

Mine was doing that without a windshield change. Could hear the pump motor sounding normal when activated.

At my last visit they found blockage in the washer fluid line. Never heard of that in all my years of car ownership. I wonder if that is something particular to the G90.

I called yesterday and they said they are ordering two new nozzle pieces for replacement and that the line from the reservoir to the passenger side nozzle snapped. Not sure what that means exactly but they are going to replace it. I have no doubt it was caused during the windshield replacement.

The windshield washer spray on the passenger side stopped spraying water. At once point water of the left side would squirt straight up over the roof. The left side (driver side) spray was good. Finally the left side stopped spraying at all. I applied compressed air to the supply hose at the windshield and made bubbles in the supply tank. I applied compressed air to the supply hose and saw spray on the right side by no spray on the left. I turned on the wipers and hit spray without the supply hose connected and saw a stream of water. Appears the hose to the right (passenger side) is disconnected. I removed push pins and a 10mm bolt and lifted the right side of the cover enough to feel the hose some but it appears that a plastic part of the cover is between or near the spray head so I could not see or get to the connection. I need to see a drawing of the windshield cover and spray system. I tried to remove a windshield wiper which seems to be required to remove the over but the wiper was too difficult to pull off the wiper motor stud without possible damage to the plastic cover. Is there an owners manual or shop manual with pictures and procedure for repair of the washer hose? I hope someone can provide this information. Thank You.

The dealer fixed mine. A hose came off.

Was able to find a few diagrams @John DTM. Perhaps it will help? 2nd one shows the nozzle. 3rd is the feed hose going across. All the parts can be ordered if need be:

Thank you very much for these images. I see tube labelled 21. It appears that the area under the spray head (17) is obscured by a plastic part of the panel holding the spray apparatus. I found on Google a procedure for stopping the windshield arms in the replacement position and suggestion that wiggling the arm can help remove the arm from the spline on the drive shaft. I plan to try to remove the windshield wiper cover to get access to the hose and sprayers. I got some push pins online to put things back together. Thanks again for you help.

I had the problem of essentially no washer spray on both sides without a windshield replacement. The washer motor sounded normal. I have a 10 year maintenance contract and the dealer found that there was an obstruction in the line. Apparently the washer fluid had crystallized and worked normally when the lines were cleared. Never heard of this problem previously. I had used a gallon of RainX washer fluid maybe 6-12 months before. I rarely ever need to use washer fluid.

I used RainX on a Suburban a few years ago and it worked very well to bead water during a rain. My wife was impressed so she suggests I get some for this Genesis. I use regular wash liquid from Walmart and it had worked fine. Blowing air through the system from both ends and hearing an air rushing sound not connected to the spray head indicates a broken hose. Could be damage from a mouse, I had a wire chewed by a rodent which I thought was a warranty fix and the dealer informed me about the rodent damage so no warranty on that. Country living no cats and not enough rat poison I suspect.
