My rear bumper got hit by a stray piece of plywood from a next door construction site during a windstorm in December. Bunch of clips were broken so it had to be replaced. The body shop finally got the new bumper after 3 months because they ordered the wrong part (or some excuse or another) but now the dealership is telling them (and me) the paint code they have is confirmed correct but doesn't exist in their parts supplier's system. How is that possible on a car not even 3 years old? Has there never been a single accident or repainting done on any Nurburg Green G70 in the three years since the model was sold with that as an option? Makes no sense.
I'm just wondering if anyone else has heard of this, while I wait for the dealership to figure it out. The car was on a lease, so I'm refusing to have it painted "pretty close" and just sitting here frustrated about the entire fiasco, which only started because a house project needed garage space, which resulted in my car having to sit in the driveway for a couple weeks (when of course it got hit).
