  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

No snow since I bought it. Anyone have any experience in more than a dusting ? I’ve owned AWD Audi’s, BMW’s, and Mercedes cars. The Audi A6 was the best by far.

Just wait for the snow, then you tell us.

Tires can determine performance in specific weather conditions more than the vehicle or drivetrain type.

Absolutely. Depending on your local you want a minimum of a decent all season. When I lived in CT at the recommendation of my tire guy I bought Nokian WRG3, an all year round tire but also has a true snow rating. They were designed for all of North America.

Based on my past experiences, I still believe that awd with average tires will outperform fwd or rwd using superior tires.

Does the 2021 G80 Prestige only come with one specific tire ?

I've had an Audi A4, Subaru Legacy GT and VW Golf R. All had various brands of real snow tires and all did very well in snow. However, like you, I think the Audi was the best (when it was running). I'd be interested to hear other reviews of AWD Genesis in snow.

AWD doesn't make you turn or stop better in snow. Only tires can improve that.

Been there...

When we got 4 inches of snow Christmas 2020, driving over hill and dale the vehicle handled more more than acceptably. With weight of the G80 + HTRAC/AWD it traversed through the snow like a tank. The All-Season tires are Continental DWS06 on my 2018 G80 3.3T HTRAC.

The electronic nanny's (TSC, ESC, ABS, et all) worked well in keeping the vehicle on the road. It was near impossible to do doughnuts and drifting in the empty/snow covered parking lot.
