  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi all, what do you think of this lease deal?

2021 (pre-refresh) G70 AWD Sport 3.3

Due at signing: just the first month payment

3 years/36,000 miles
Monthly Payment: $553
Residual (53%): $28,616

Need to know the Gross Capitalized Cost (selling price), vs. the MSRP - and also the Money Factor to tell if it's a good deal or not.

GC is $48000 - not sure on MF

So about a $6,000 discount off of MSRP. I feel that's good in this current market. For reference, I just purchased a 2021 3.3T RWD in the beginning of May, and also got a $6,000 discount (MSRP was $47,XXX and got them down to $41,XXX) - and I feel like I got a good deal. I would just check on edmunds.com to see what the current money factor is for leasing a 2021. They may be marking it up, which could make the payment higher than what it could potentially be.

It looks like the MF is .00025 from what I see on Edmunds. I also got a $4000 rebate which doesn’t show on the gross capitalized cost.

it does seem a little high, but not too bad.

So it's a $4,000 rebate on top of the $6,000 they discounted the car? For a total of $10,000 off of MSRP? If so, that's a great deal! Or are you saying the $6,000 discount includes the $4,000 rebate? If so, I'd say it's just an OK deal, considering the 2022's are now on dealers lots.

The former - basically 10,000 off MSRP. The Gross Capitalized Cost doesn’t include the rebate. The $4000 rebate was listed on the contract as “cash down.”

Sounds like a great deal then. I would just ask them what the money factor is that they're quoting you, to make sure they're not marking up the .00025 that Genesis Finance is offering this month.

without knowing your state and the taxes, this looks like a good deal. If you are in a higher tax state, it’s an incredible deal. Double check the rebate numbers, nationwide the lease cash is on $3000 for this month. The $4000 is purchase cash without promotional financing rates. Military, conquest and loyalty are extra rebates if you qualify. I just signed my lease a week ago and shopped a lot of dealers and this deal is pretty close to what I signed. Only found one dealer willing to discount over 10% pre-rebate.

Good deal, especially in this market.

Yea I’m in Jersey- so high taxes are a given

Jersey has a relatively low sales tax rate. 6.625%
Did you end up signing? Were the incentives righ?
Yea I ended up signing.

MSRP was $54,000 - dealer sold it for $49,000 and then included a $4000 rebate. Final numbers first posted were accurate. Nothing down outside first month and $553 (taxes and fees included) 36 months/12k miles. Was a pretty solid deal to pass up. My second G70 and first 3.3!

Congratulations! Looks like you got a great deal! Enjoy the car!
