  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2021 G90 vs 2021 G80

What I am also realizing, that my almost 3-year-old G90 is quiet as a tomb is absolutely 0 rattles - none, nada, zilch. If anything rattles, it might be my sunglasses in the holder (which kinda shame - they really need to put some extra felt in there) or a water bottle in the holder. That's it. My previous G80 of 3 years wasn't a rattlebox, but wasn't as quiet and rattle-free - that's for sure.
I bought chamois cloth from Ace and cut it to fit the sunglass case

Until the next G90 launches, the reasons to get the G90 over the G80 is if (1) one wants stitched leather on as many surfaces as possible, (2) likes the polarizing, but more imposing grille, (3) prefer having that soft ride of a luxo-cruiser over something a bit more dynamic, (4) can't bear the thought of having to pull up the rear sunshades manually and (5) can get a better deal on it compared to the new G80.
(5) incredibly quit
(6) soft closing doors
(7) rear entertainment

(8) very roomy cabin
(9) ?

According to a review I watched, the G80 will have soft closing doors and rear entertainment.

Would you mind telling us where you saw that review.
I watched a few reviews on Youtube and it was mentioned in more than one. In this one for example from TheStraightPipes, they specifically mention both the soft-close doors and the rear entertainment system at 17:50 in the video.

We will be getting soft close doors (on the higher trims, at least in the States) but not any of the rear entertainment or adjusting rear seats. Those were an option even back in the last gen G80 but never made their way to North America.

You can check what's included in each trim level for the new G80 on the US configurator.

Sorry to be so dense. I’m looking but I’m not see any reference to soft closing doors on the G80. Can you please post a screenshot from either the configuration or an official Genesis publication. Thanks

The configurator refers to it as "Power Door Closure". It's the Prestige package for the 2.5T and standard on the 3.5T. I would take screenshots if I weren't on my phone.

Sorry for the delay in responding. With less than 60 days on having to turn in my leased 2017 G90 Ultimate 5.0, I am now considering buying my lease. Unfortunately Florida does not allow me to buy it directly from Genesis Finance thus I have to go thru a dealer. I am thinking that I might have them CPO my 30,000 mile car and am trying to find out what a fair price is to CPO it. With the delay in availability of both the GV80 and the 2021 G80 and thus my inability to drive either one has me probably buying my 2017 lease. Any info on the CPO costs. Also it has been IMPOSSIBLE to talk to someone at Genesis Finance in their end of lease department to get any info. Understand the COVID disaster but you would think that after weeks of trying to reach someone that their system would allow you to leave a message so that someone could call me back. Very frustrating.

Dealers have quoted me between 1500 and 2400 dollars to CPO one they had on their lot.
