  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2021 GV80 Battery replacement

Guess I was luck last year. Took my GV80 in for service and had them check the battery. It was bad and they had one in stock to replace it.

You were lucky form what we read here. I only asked the dealer to see it there was an issue in my area. As I was walking out the door, I figured I woul confirm what the salesman had told me, and I am glad I did. (Oh my, a salesman that lies) I think if my battery died and there was none to be had, I would buy one that would fit into the slot even if it was too tall just to get by until the real one came in.

Still looking for a battery for my 2022 GV80 with reverse polarity. If anyone has any suggestions or a line on one, please let me know.

Thanks!

I have a 2021 G80 which uses the H9 battery.
.
1. Registration is easy. Power windows and moonroof. Open with switch and continue holding switch for additional few seconds. Same for closing.

2. A couple years ago, I priced the H9 battery at $219 US. At various places. A few months ago, same H9 at same auto parts sores was $289 US.

3. Couple years ago, at Orlando Hyundai/G enesis, a GV80 on showroom floor had dead battery. Tech had to come out to charge battery so they could start and move car.

Curious as to what is a normal, acceptable percentage charge as indicated on the diagnostic web page. I've been periodically checking and it always seems to be somewhere in the 60s or 70s percentile.

Mine has been in the 60's for the two years I have owned the car and I have had no issues. After a 3 or 4 hour trip, it might make it to 70 or 71. I have let it sit at an airport or cruise port for as much as 13 days and it always started right up. My car sat at the dealer for 10 months before it was sold so I know it sat for a long time before I got it. So you should be good to go.

Mine hangs round the 60-65 % mark. No problems yet but most times the the auto-start / stop feature does not function...but that’s ok by me...😁

My GV80 auto start/stop was not working. I checked and it was only getting to around 60% charged. When I took the vehicle in for service, I had them check the battery and they said it would only go to 58% charge, so they replaced the battery under warranty. No issues since.
Hi, I ave the same issue (Start/stop) is not working. Battery level goes between 60-75%. Did u noticed the IDLE function is working after you change the battery? Txs!!

Since the battery change, all has been good.

My GV80 2021 battery 🪫 died yesterday Puerto Rico Dealers wants to charge $1,025.00 UD dollars for replacement, I ask them why has gone up because 2 years ago was $400.00. They could not answer. Feel like a steal for a battery..
