  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi folks. I placed an order last week for a 2022 G70 3.3T sport in siberian ice with the red interior.

Just curious how long it took for other folks orders to get to the dealer from the port in BC?

Did the dealer take extra time after that for PDI and organizing delivery?

That depends if your car is already made (and where it is), or not. So you need to start there. I just placed a $1K deposit for mine today, and turns out my local dealer has only ONE coming, and it happened to be exactly the way I was going to order it: 3.3T SP in white/sandstorm ($52,225 MSRP). And it happens to be about 5 to 10 days away from arriving at dealer, so quite nice. Didn't ask how long if ordered from scratch. Only bummer is it has $400 illuminated door sills (also $85 wheel locks, but that's fine), which is a waste of money for me, but at least there're no mark-ups, so just have to pay a $125 doc fee on top of TTL. The other 'good news' (or not) is there's no extra paint charge, since it's alta white, but just hope that freaking paint has clearcoat (does it?). It should be white white, and not a possible weird tone like sometimes pearl whites are (like bluish, greyish, etc), so it shouldn't be a surprise. Looking forward to getting it. Told dealer not to touch it; I'll remove everything myself, check it, and wash it myself later. Good luck.

When I placed the order my car was already on the train heading to Ontario. That's why I was asking about how long it takes from port in BC.

Really hard to tell, especially with the current shipping situation worldwide; only dealer would know. Ask the sales manager how long it usually takes, and they should give you a good estimate. Plus they can track it too. I was told today mine was pushed to May 17, and that it could take 5 days after that tops, so most likely next week. My problem is I sold my current 2 vehicles to GMTV, and they might not get picked up before that, leaving me with no garage space left, and 100+ grand in the air. I could still buy the car if I wanted to, but don't want to. Ha ha. Hope all goes well with the sale of both vehicles, and sooner rather than later. So good luck to both of us :).

Yes. I did ask and they said they wouldn't have an idea until it arrives in Ontario. I did ask if I would have it for May 24 weekend and he just shrugged and said maybe... He said he would ask the shipping company to expedite if possible, but I doubt that would change anything. All I know is that on the Friday he printed the VIN chart for every genesis in Canada, mine had already left the port in BC. Beyond that, no clue. Waiting after the test drive is always such a tease...

If that's the case, ask how long when it arrives in Ontario. And ask which vessel your car is in, and just track it. I've never done it, but there are public websites where you can do just that. They reportedly tell you approximately when they'll stop at the next port. But also remember there's a shortage of everything, from drivers, platforms, etc. So hard to judge how backed up they are, and what kind of delays are expected. But just by itself, that date looks a bit tight to me already. So I'd plan for at least 10 days after that. Best of luck.

And it's funny because I now want my car to be a bit delayed, to buy some time to get my 2 current cars shipped out, and I could almost bet cash money that this one time, the freaking car will arrive on time. Ha ha. We'll see.

I just had a very similar situation come up. It took two weeks for it to arrive to Toronto and the dealership to prep for pick up. That said, I’m not sure how far along in the shipping process my car was when I ordered it, or your vehicle is now.

My sales guy was able to tell me exactly how long until it was going to arrive (baring any unforeseen delays) and he was bang on. I would maybe try calling another dealership and ask how long it usually takes for them to arrive from BC.
