2022 G70 front license plate

New 2022 3.3 G70 owner. I live in a state that requires front license plates but don't want to drill into the grill or even distract from the grill aesthetics. Anyone had issues with police writing tickets for no front plates? And does anyone know of a good solution to this problem that doesn't requiring drilling into the grill or covering the V section of the grill?

Tow hook license plate?

Ive have cops stop me before for no front plate. If you get stopped for a violation, that will def be an add on to the fine. Ive gotten a ticket for it when parked as well

Keep your plate under the front seat or within easy reach quickly. If being pulled over put the plate on your dash so it’s visible before the cop gets to you. Tell the cop your front plate mount is broke and on back order from Korea. Some states are more anal than others about front plates. Texas requires one, I have not installed one since high school which was a long time ago so most cops here don’t just pull folks over for a plate violation alone. Never got a ticket thus far.

I have a tow hook front plate set up on my G70 3.3T Sport. It is an exact replica of the ones that Grimm Speed sells, but half the cost. It works great, however, if you run through some car washes the plate can get bent up. I have an old license plate and a frame to prevent this from happening.

I read people complaining the front plate on the tow hook causes the front passenger sensor to go off at random making the car think its going to have a collision or that there is another car on that side. Do you not have this issue with that set up? Also can you send a link to the plate option you are referring to? Thank you

Oh, I did when I had the plate centered. It quick "yelling" at me after a few seconds. So, I just moved it down as far as I could and no problem. Again though, without some kind of reinforcement, the plate will get bent up going through car washes that touch and spin.

I don't plan on taking it through any car washes. Can you share where you found the one you purchased that worked? I'm in need of one, know its only a matter of time before I start getting pulled over.

I think this should get you there. They are wsa-auto. This is actually better than the Grimm Speed as I recall, IMHO.
