2022 G70 Heads Up Display Issue

Hey guys I just bought at 2022 G70 Sport Prestige, and I’ve been having some issues with the HUD Display. I have it set the highest height setting for the display, but after a couple of drives it lowers all the way to the lowest height setting? Why is that? And only one seating position gets used. So any thoughts? I’ve had to fix the height setting at least 10 times and I just got the car on 13th of August

I believe the HUD settings are saved with the seat memory. Are you saving after adjusting the settings? That’s usually the answer when settings change on me. Some of these settings are also saved to a driver profile which can also show up as a problem if you have multiple drivers. Hope this helps.

There’s only one seat memory and one driver profile, and yes I saved it. But it still occurs

Anybody ever figure this out? My fiancée's Sonata does the same thing. So it's something particular to this newer Hyundai infotainment software. My Stinger which used the old software and managed all settings in the cluster, never had such a problem. I've had my 22 G70 for just over a week now and today had to reset the HUD to my desired height.

I could have sworn that I had done that myself but maybe I didn't. I just experimented with mine. I made sure to save seat settings with HUD set properly. I then totally messed up the HUD position in settings. Selecting my seat memory reset the HUD to the correct position. However, this doesn't explain why the system eventually sets the HUD to default randomly if it isn't saved. It should just stay where it's set I feel like. Hopefully now that I know the correct settings are saved it will stay put.

I KNOW that something’s weird re: the settings and profiles on the 22 G70 cuz my wife and I both drive her G70 and there are definite situations when settings are not retained the way they’re supposed to. I’ll be checking for software updates when I take it in for it’s first oil change.

When she has been driving it, switching to my seat memory and profile work correctly, but when I’m the last driver, her attempts to return to her seat and profile make a coupla bugs pop up and she’s required to make a few extra steps to return to her correct settings.

PS: AFAIK, HUD settings are not part of our issue, tho I could be wrong. It’s usually incorrect seat positions that show up.

I'm having the same issue as well. Every number of drives my HUD brightness rolls back to level 16 when I keep setting it to max level 20. This happens without necessarily changing the seat position or anything, it's always set to driver 1.

Are you saving the settings to the seat memory switches on the door after correction?

Hmm do I need to? I'll have to try doing that to see. Didn't think HUD changes needed to be saved in because most of the time without saving it to seat memory, it stays at level 20 but only in some occasions it reverts back to 16

I have this exact issue as well. But mine usually happens when I use the key to remote start, the HUD always revert back to the lowest position.

I had same issue but was able to fix it but I’m not sure how I did it exactly. Got to be in the settings.

I fixed it, I have to wipe my memory seat and then set it back to how I like and set the height of the HUD and then I hit set to position 1. Ever since then it hasn’t moved, the height has not changed either, hope this helps
