  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2022 G70 Now Available to Build

Yeah...I agree. It's not like the Audi...where you can switch Nav and do crazy stuff. The blind spot thing is cool...but if you have been driving for 20+ years...it makes no difference...LOL.

It just has digital tach and speedo...that changes styles. The 3D stuff...meh. I look at my HUD 99% of the time anyway. Not sure why folks are freaking out.

To each his own I guess.

I am more worried about the engines...and options other than red interior !
Once I got HUD, I pretty much never look down. Plus, I think a digital gauge cluster will look outdated much faster in the long run.

And if drivers have their side mirrors adjusted properly, it eliminates blind spots.

Definitely more concerned about engine and options. I don't want Genesis to follow Acura. Where Honda has better options then their Acura counterparts.

No doubt the engine and options are important. We all want this mf to be sweet, but since they’ve already sold us short on both new engines (2.5 & 3.5). The least they could do is give us the other stuff. Especially when all the other models seem to be getting the goods.

^ yeah...but the US website has a loosey goosey build that doesn't even show pricing...it's probably not even official yet. Genesis always does this. A preliminary build to play with...then they update it with the real data.
It specifically says on the 2022 G70 model page that it’s an 8-inch cluster screen. I’m hoping it’s a typo, but I guess we shall see

Hyundai/Kia/Genesis seem to be gimping out on full digital dashes here in the U.S. lately. Even the Canadian Kia K5 GT got a full digital dash while we simply got analogue gauges. I hope this trend doesn't carry over onto the GV70.

I've noticed this as well. The G70 will be the only Genesis model without the Remote Smart Parking Assist & Ambient Lighting. Now possibly adding the digital cluster to the list. All of the things are available on the Hyundai Sonata.

From the looks of it, Hyundai and Genesis cars have a six year design span where mid-refresh is three years in so that would tell us that we will not have a total redesign until the 2025 model year. Let's see what happens...

This may be true...but...they may want to play catch-up with the G70 since the engines and interior are outdated compared to all the other models.

This mid refresh aligns the exterior theme to the other models...so I think the next step is to fully align the G70 to all the the other models ASAP.

I agree, let's see if the few tricks up their sleeve relates to all the engine/tech upgrades...

Not sure if people have noticed or seen this but most of the recent 2021 G70’s are optioned with the previous version of the 12.3” 3D gauge cluster. It’s a $1,000 option ironically called the 3D package. I wonder if it’s a certain VIN range that’s getting them?

Good catch. I'd be surprised if it isn't offered on the 2022 models since it's already on the 2021's. Unless it's a limited edition run on the 2021's.

^ yikes, that's getting pricey. the top spec 3.3T Sport 3.3T AWD in CAD is $58k up here. $55USD is ~$70k CAD. 20%+ more payola. ouch. i doubt the trims are spec'd that differently at the top end of the range. 20% more content? not likely.

this must be part of the reason for the massive MSRP delta between CAD specs of the G70 and German competition (340, c43, etc) which makes the G70 such a bargain north of the border.

Or a frameless mirror. They really not showing it love.

I didn’t know any 2021’s came with the 12.3. Any pictures of the that from there photos?

^ hmm, if that's it i'm less than impressed. certainly wouldn't pay a premium for it. so low down on the practical or features priority list it is essentially a non-factor.

This is so weird. That option isn't even in the configurator for the 2021. Consider me extremely confused.

I know. The configurator for the current G70 is the worst! The 3D digital cluster nor the illuminated door sills aren't listed on the configurator but they are indeed options for the G70. It's so odd that the GV70 has a full configurator on the Genesis Canada site but the new G70 is not even listed. Genesis has me so confused right now. I "reserved" at new G70 and still have not received a call nor email from a Genesis dealer.

Yeah, the configurator isn't perfect. The 2021 G90 comes with a whole new set of rims and it's on almost every dealer lot yet it doesn't even show up on the website.
