  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2023 Genesis G90

HDA2 in ccIC Navigation version - changing lanes like a boss...

Genesis moved 150 last month, up from 100 or so the 2 prior months (don't know if this was just an increase in supply).

Getting closer to the LS (which Lexus is discounting) which did 233 last month.

Think Genesis would be ecstatic if they can get sales up to somewhere around 200-250/month if they have the supply.

A lovely new toy. We will see if they plateau next summer. Keep it up.

I would like one but in a more exciting color.

Multiple reviews mentioned that rear wheel steering in G90 is "way too weird," or "made car occupants literally car-sick." For those who own E-SC version, what are your impressions?

Unless you're driving erratically, the rear wheel steering shouldn't be too noticeable. I have had mine now since the end of Sept with no complaints from anyone in the rear seats and I've sat back there myself on several occasions.

Also someone mentioned the e-supercharger+v6 and the transitions not being smooth. Again, I think it depends on the driver. 90% of the time, everything feels very smooth. There are a few times where I do experience a little bit of turbo lag, regardless of the E-SC.

I like light interiors better, they show better details and refreshing
I have the light interior. Aside from the normal concerns of keeping it clean, my only "zonk" would be that on a bright day, the rear window suffers from the light interior reflection. Putting up the rear shade does help, but it wouldn't be an issue with the darker interior I'm sure.

Yeah I figured that I don't drive the way the reviewers drove :D All super smooth for me and I don't feel anything with the rear-wheel steering except that the turns are SUPER tight.

I totally felt it but I admit that I was playing with it. I had a courtesy G80 Sport Plus that had the rear wheel steer. Different cars yes but same platform. Maybe the G90's tuning is better? At first, I didn't know the courtesy car had rear steer until I got to work and noticed that parking in my spot was a lot easier. Once I knew it was there, I started toying with the rear steer. When I was going in a straight line, I would oscillate the wheel back and forth and notice that the rear end lags. I think that's what the reviewers are referring to. Normally you wouldn't do this...

There are situations where you would turn the wheel back and forth rapidly like that like short S curves... or there's parts of Vancouver that has roundabouts at every intersection that might make you seasick but normally, I think you'll be fine. I'll see if they'll give me a new G90 to try out next time my 2020 is in for service

First time I'm hearing that the new G90 can electrically open the doors and also stop itself from hitting objects too. This is a US-spec model:

The new 7 Series has the same feature but uses many more visible sensors and from current reviews like Throttle Houses's, seems to be glitchy.

The Maybach and RR have it also, but with the G90 it's standard, and at a fraction of the price. I liked it, but the doors don't open fully, only close fully automatically.

What I love about this G90 is that my GV60 has many of these same features and I can confirm it is spectacular! Now I just need to convince my wife that I need a G90 too!!

Motorweek got a 0-60 in 4.9s and it handled itself fairly well on the slalom course.

Also, MW observed slightly better than the 24 highway mpg in their mixed driving.

I had 27.5 mpg on driving from San Antonio to Houston.

The embedded video didn't load for me, but this should work:

The amount of leaning in the slalom test shows that it's not exactly a super sedan, but 4.9 sec to 60 is pretty good for that weight and a V6 engine. I'm shocked by the 60-0 stopping distance though! 105 ft puts it around the level of smaller super sedans like the RS5, CT5V, M5 Competition, and close to many supercars. I looked up a new Bentley which has a similar weight and massive brakes - it did over 130 ft.

Pretty damn good for a big heavy luxury car. 👍

The used-car-salesman narrator voice is super annoying.
