  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2023 Genesis G90

Agree. When I take it in at 6k for 1st service I'll have a list for them, lol. Brand new dealership working out the kinks but let's see how they do
Perhaps you'd be willing to help fill in the gaps here with the answers when you receive them. That's how communities like this become more informative, when users contribute.

Yes it's fantastic but there are absolutely no answers to some basic questions. ie, I can remote lower windows and remote open the trunk. Why/how can't I remote close either?
I'm just spitballing here, but I would guess it's those damn Hyundai/Genesis corporate lawyers again. They don't want to get sued for somebody remotely closing their window or trunk on Fluffy, the neighbor's cat, or Billy, the neighbor's kid. Yes, the G90 has sensors that reverse window or trunk closing when it hits an obsticle, but we live in the most litigious society on earth, but besides getting squished, Billy and Fluffy might get trapped inside the vehicle on a 110 degree July afternoon in Phoenix.

The same people are responsible for other slightly annoying features like having to press the autobrake button every time you start the car. C'est la vie.

What's an autobrake button...start/stop?

I believe he means auto hold. Lets you take your foot off the brake after coming to a complete stop - like at a stop light - and the brakes will hold until you hit the throttle or resume on cruise (if it were active).

"I believe he means auto hold."

Yep, that's what I mean.

Well the good new is android auto is now wireless as a result of an OTA update. As for closing the trunk, windows and sunroof with the key fob or app still a no. It's an ez hack but I suspect the lawyers as another poster mentioned are blocking it

What is the easy hack?

Might not have been clear. No hack on this car as far as I know. On my previous car, audi a8, it was disabled but a software program and dongle plugged into the computer port was a simple override. It's nice to be able to put up the windows and close the sunroof/trunk from the key fob if the rain and thunder started while it's parked outside. 1st world problem I know but I also know remote closing the trunk, etc.is standard on most vehicles

Hello everyone,

I have a question about the horn on my 2023 G90. I've had the car for about a year now, but I just tried the horn for the first time. It seems really quiet—quieter than I expected.

Is this normal? Has anyone else with a 2023 G90 noticed the same thing?

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Betcha its louder than you think. Very quiet cabin (soundproofing?) might make it seem quiet.

That might be true. I can barely hear it inside the car, but even with the window open, it’s not very loud!

Just crossed over 10k miles on my '23 G90. A fantastic car IMO. Quiet, comfortable, quick and I never see another one on my way up and back from Maryland to NY. I'm weird like that...like cars that aren't common. Had a low pressure fuel pump recall taken care of tho I never felt any issues with it. There are a couple of creature comforts my past vehicles had that this doesn't/or I've been unable to find.

Any input would be appreciated...Can I:

close the trunk with the key fob
close the windows/sunroof with the key fob
retain climate settings (ie. heated seat/wheel) so they are active the next time i get in
Run the heat fan for a few minutes after turning off the car. Keep the cabin warm while I run in to get something, like coffee

All of these are available on on Audi, Acura, MB, BMW, etc so I assume the Genesis engineers can figure it out

Put the windows down, inside a garage or in front of a building, and lay on the horn. I'm sure you wont think it is quiet then.
