  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just got a 2023 Sport Prestige for the wifey and she is loving it. Feels fast and drives great. I set up a profile for her and I. Does the key fob used automatically loads the proper keyfob? For example, if I use my key fob will it load my profile and adjust everything for me or do I always have to select my profile on the screen?

Love the lit Genesis logo projected onto the ground.

We got it in the pearl white (UYUNI WHITE) with the black wheels and the red Brembo brakes. It's not as fast as my C8 Corvette but it feels like a 13 second car to me.
Thanks

No - they key fobs are identical (unless there is a change for the 2023 that I haven’t heard about). My wife has a 2022 and have found it easier to just use one profile (hers) since I don’t drive the car that often. When we had a separate profile for me the seat memories didn’t work consistently after switching drivers and profiles. Others have had the same problems. There were a number of posts about the issue a few months ago.

I have a 2023 Sport Prestige too (but the 2.0T version, after returning the 3.3T), and key fobs are identical indeed. We initially had different profiles as well, but several very weird things happened, but we went back to just the first profile (driver 1), with 2 different memory settings. We noticed these things:
1. Once you set up a 2nd profile, you lost the 2nd memory setting, and couldn't set another. All that happened with the 2nd memory setting was the mirrors moved.
2. Like somebody said, when you chose your profile, your settings were VERY SLOW to activate, and not always completely, needing to press your memory button too. But we noticed after a few times, they consistently got recalled completely, but still very slowly.
3. This was the worst issue, but I couldn't try it before doing the software update, so curious what's the deal with your car. On driver #2 profile, everything was gone from the 'trip meter' menu, except the cumulative trip meter. No more TPMS, digital speedo, etc. This was the main reason to go back to just 1 profile with 2 memory settings.

Another thing I noticed is the car won't auto lock the doors when you walk away. They will unlock when you approach but I do not see a setting to lock without touching the door handle or using the FOB.

I think you need to activate a cell phone as a key for that (like on Teslas), and on EVERY profile, so check it's activated under vehicle settings. There's no such setting with the fob. Having said that, my 2.0T doesn't have that feature, unfortunately... although I'd only use the credit card key myself. I didn't check for that before the latest software update, but assume it wasn't there either. On the 2022 SF Calligraphy, there's a 'key card' menu under vehicle settings, but it's not present on the G70 2.0T SP (it was on the 3.3T SP), so cannot program one, obviously. I'd like to hear from another 2023 2.0T SP owner, to be sure that's the way it is, and not an issue with the software update (which didn't say 2023, by the way, but 'MyGenesis' said to update it with the 2022).

My 23 has all the screens for digital key but not compatible with IPHONES, Android only.

Yeah, I forgot about that; it's Android only, and I have an iPhone. So that's a good thing I didn't want that. Ha ha. Hey, you forgot to mention which exact G70 trim you have. I know for a fact a 2022 3.3T Sport Prestige has the option, and even comes with a key card from the factory. But I now own a 2023 2.0T Sport Prestige, and doesn't have that menu, and didn't come with a key card either. Just curious. Thank you.

EDIT: Just re-read your first post, and you mentioned 'red Brembo brakes', so you obviously have the 3.3T SP (my 2.0T SP doesn't have them). So yes, you're supposed to have the key card option, and even a key card as well. Hopefully another 2.0T SP owner will chime in soon. Thank you anyway.

I didn't see a physical key card, unless they slipped it in with the owners manual which I have not looked at yet. Now is the Sport Prestige the top trim level on these cars? The Genesis official page doesn't show correctly for 2023 as far as the trim levels go. The only option I did not want was AWD as it will never be in snow and I hate to have extra weight that AWD brings. The car hooks up very well so not needed. I really am impressed with this car and my wife is happy!

In the US, the 3.3T top trim in 2022 was the Sport Prestige (which I briefly owned), and I assume it still is for 2023. The 2.0T top of the line model for 2023 is now called Sport Prestige too (rather than just Prestige), but it's a misnomer, since it does NOT have the same equipment as the 3.3T SP. It's basically the Prestige but with ventilated seats, and the wheels and some of the trim of the 3.3T Sport Prestige. But still lacks Napa, 360, HUD, 'suede' headliner, and the key card. Might be forgetting something else. Back in 2021, a 2.0T with the elite and prestige packages was equipped just like a 3.3T Sport Prestige, except the Brembos. Not anymore. And yes, check your glove box; the key card was there on my 3.3T SP. Hope this helps.
