  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I brought my 2019 G70 V6 in for some service and received a 2024 G70 as a loaner. I was hoping for the 4 cylinder to see what it's like. When I pulled away I thought okay cool I got the four cylinder. Then I noticed the sticker was in the car and it says six cylinder. I popped the hood to confirm it does have the V6. The power is not there. It doesn't even feel like a decent four cylinder.

The car has under 500 miles. Does the computer force a break-in period for a certain period of time? I sure hope so. I bought my car used so I didn't experience the break-in period.

I also see they reversed some of the controls on the steering wheel. This seems like an odd choice to me as I believe every car I've driven has had the stereo controls on the left side.

I wonder if they have it in valet mode? Do you see boost increase on the gauge?

I can't say I checked the boost gauge. I'll monitor that next time I drive.

Valet mode seems like a possibility though I did see previously searched destinations in the navigation. I would think that would be hidden if in valet mode.

It's not in valet mode but you were right about boost... it's not making any boost at all.

Limp mode or the turbo charge pipe has come off. Pop the hood and see if it's off.

I figure I'll close this one out. I popped the hood and found nothing out of sorts. I did not find any disconnected intake tubing.
I returned the car today and notified them of the issue.
