Today I went to media day at the LA Auto Show. The Genesis booth had the Magma concept car - I thought it looked great in person.

Unfortunately there weren't any engineers there (I heard I just missed some), but I did find a couple of booth staff that were willing to engage with me about suggestions and questions. In fact, they spent over an hour with me and took detailed notes. Probably nothing will come of it, but who knows, they seemed to think they would be able to pass the suggestions along in a useful manner. I did also recommend that they check out this forum (which they had not heard of).
My #1 item was manual preconditioning. It sounds like there is a good chance that this will be in the next OTA update. This was the one item on my list that they had clearly heard before over and over. In fact, I was told that this would definitely be in the next update, so assuming they know what they are talking about, that's good news.
They also said that the native maps were going to get a "major" update. However, I think they probably need to change map vendors, and it doesn't sound like that is under consideration. They said "the maps will get a major update due to the need to add Tesla superchargers", but clearly they need way more than that. But if they do add manual preconditioning, I don't really care.
As I suspected, they had no idea when we would get access to superchargers. I wonder if anyone a Hyundai/Genesis knows, or even at Tesla?
But Tesla does seem to be picking up the pace, so hopefully soon.
I also asked if we would be getting free CCS/NACS adapters or if they would be sold. The people I talked to had no idea and seemed very intrigued by the question. I think they are going to investigate for their own curiosity, but I don't expect to hear back.
I asked about plug-and-charge at EA stations, and was surprised to get an answer - it's in the works.
I had about a dozen other suggestions that were noted. I won't list them all here as they have all been posted here before.
Oh, I was also told the next major GV60 version would be introduced at next year's LA Auto Show.
At the end one of them disappeared into the back and came back a few minutes later with a small gift for me - a Genesis branded MagSafe phone charger (with a battery). It's pretty cool
They also had a pretty nice fancy coffee bar, I had a latte.
