  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I am not sure if I have an issue or not. Today when I got to work the car told me there was an update. When I went to the SW Info screen it told me that it was the wireless CarPlay/AA update. I was thrilled. It mentioned something about installing while the car was off. When I left work several hours later, there was no update and now the SW Info doesn’t say that there is an update available. I reached out to connected services and basically told me that I would have to wait until they did another update to get this one. That can’t be right. The USB updater has no option for 2025 GV80s. Has anyone else experienced this and then the update showed up again several days later? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have a 24, all update is done OTA with no issue.

I have 2025 GV80 and still no OTA update or notice of one on my car. Getting ready to install via USB but a little nervous as you point out that the USB list of compatiable vehicles does not specifically list the 2025 model.

Has anyone updated via USB on a 2025 GV80??? Any issues or concerns on doing so???

Thanks,

I got a recall notice about OTA updates not working in my 2023....Going this Thursday to the dealership for the recall update...

The 2025 is not listed. It should already have the latest update. I thought the 2025 already came with wireless AA/CP.

I received a call back from Genesis Connected Services today. They told me they halted the pushdown. They said I saw it because the download started before they halted it however the download was not completed. They also told me that they had a few tweaks to make and that it would begin rolling out again in early October for the 2025.

Good info Goldmaes....looks like I'll wait for the OTA push in October to see if that updates my 2025. Maybe a good thing I didn't update via the USB option!

For someone who asked, 2025 sold to date did not have wireless carplay and were all waiting to get OTA updates like everyone else.

October and May are the usual update months. For the rest of us, we did not get a May update so this latest update is really late.

Anyone with 2025 GV80 receive the OTA update this month (October) yet? Sounds like maybe they paused the OTA updates last month and hoping they are resuming them now. Purchased my 2025 back in August and hoping we get the OTA update like other GV80 model years. Frustrating that newest model seems to be the last ones to get the update.

I know you can go out and download the update and install manually but the problem is the current list of compatible vehicles DOES NOT list the 2025 GV80 models. Therefore, I've been hesitant to download and install in my 2025 so nothing gets messed up.

Got mine the day before I picked the car up.

I don't have an answer for you and it looks like there is not one. Communication from Genesis is not real good about stuff like this. Ask support people and you will get two different answers.

I have read so many different things about the 25.
Some got it
Some did not get it.
It is no available for download online.
They pulled the 25 version because of some errors

The only thing I can see is the 25 version is different because of the new long screen and probably some other upgrades. After they put it out they had some issues and decided to pull it until they fix it. (They did this last year.)
Good luck and let us know how you make out.

I just bought a 2025 GV80 and dealer has not been able to get the Apple wireless car play to work. They say the update is not out yet. Anybody else having this problem?

The dealer is wrong. Call up another dealer service manager and ask them if they know how to fix it. If they don’t know, call up a third. That’s what I had to do in 2021 when many owners had the Black Navigation Screen of Death from the corrupted entertainment update. When you call different Genesis service managers, you quickly get a sense about if they know or do not know what they are talking about. Just because one service manager manager doesn’t keep up-to-date doesn’t mean another can’t be more responsible and smart. I use the same technique calling any company’s customer service Help Desk. If the person that comes on the helpdesk obviously doesn’t know what they are talking about, I quickly hang up, call back and a different customer service representative answers, and usually they will be smarter and have the knowledge to assist. Good luck.

The OP and the dealer are correct, as far as I have heard. The update for 2025's is not out yet!

That’s odd since I received it OTA and and am using wireless CarPlay on a daily basis
Then I mis spoke. SORRY!

I heard it initially got released and then pulled, so some did get it.

Yes I think you are right. I got it before it was pulled but I don't seem to be having any issues.

I have read that as well. And of course there is no official notification of this anywhere as to let the people left out what is going on. (At least to my knowledge)
Lets keep them in the dark.
