  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2026 GV80 Online!

That figures, one of the features that initially drew us to the GV80 was the 3rd row, "nice but not mandatory". We were a little disappointed that the top trim level didn't include them. But not enough regret to consider a trade for a '26 though.

Hybrid is coming too, with31 mpg.

Interesting. The question is, how much higher price and how long will it take to break even with an average number of miles per year driven?

3rd quarter 2026. Using 2.5T engine and 2 motors, about the same power as the 3.5T, but much more efficient.
Thanks. Does this come from a trusted source?

That will be my third GV80.

2026 GV80 3.5T comes with a third row of seats but gives up the 2nd row power seating. Now it’s the lever in front of seat to move it back and forth and the side lever to tilt the back part of seat.

This change makes no sense.

Exactly what I thought. I had a 2025 GV80 that “died” and Genesis bought it back. Now I have the 2026 and miss the power 2nd row. But the ride on the ‘26 has been refined even more from the ‘25 and they added more specific Terrain Modes (formerly Drive Modes). Now it has separate selections for: Snow, Mud, and Sand (in addition to Comfort, Eco, Sport, and My modes). But tell me….. who in their right mind is going to take their ‘26 GV80 off roading?!? Snow, yes I can see that, especially since I live close to the “Snow Belt”. But the others? Maybe if the road washes out from the cabin back home…..

My 2021 GV80 Prestige (Canadian) has the Terrain Modes you mention and I do use them when the occasion warrants. I launch and haul out a boat with my GV80 and use the mud or sand modes as appropriate and find them useful. Need I mention snow? I'm surprised at your suggestion that these are new to the 2026 models.

When I say they are new to the ‘26 model, I mean that they have been integrated into the Drive Mode button. When you twist the button left or right, you get the choices for: Eco, Comfort, Sport and “My” modes. But when you press down on the button, you get Terrain Mode choices of: Snow, Mud, and Sand. In the ‘25 model, there was no separate choices of Terrain as the Snow selection was incorporated into the “twist “ selections.

As to why your ‘21 has it, I do not know. Unless it used to be standard, then they dropped it and re-added it? Or perhaps it was included in just the Canadian models?

Here is the info from an article:
  • Terrain Mode Select:A new system on 2026 models, these modes adjust the vehicle's torque, suspension, and AWD performance for specific off-road or challenging conditions.
    • Snow: Optimizes traction and powertrain for driving in light snow.
    • Mud: Adjusts settings to improve traction and control on loose, muddy surfaces.
    • Sand: Fine-tunes throttle response, transmission, and AWD distribution to maximize grip on sandy terrain.
