  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The navigation system is guiding me to complete wrong locations. Has anyone heard of this? Sometimes it's a couple blocks off but over this weekend it's been miles off with a completely incorrect address. It's very strange and I don't understand how it happening.

It's also been having a real hard time with voice commands, saying it isn't connected.

Bring it in to your dealership. You may need a firmware update or something else.

Most likely an error in the navigation mapping software. I recall a few years back going to a location for a sailing ship in Massachusetts. The web site was adamant not to put their address into a GPS as it will take you to the wrong location.

Another time in Italy we rented a villa and the instructions were to follow the written route, not a GPS. One day I tried it just for fun and it was way off.

Is this happening with just one or two places or is it common? Most GPS are accurate for your location within 25 to 50 feet. It would be interesting to see of you put the location into a Garmin to see where it took you.

What pat of the country are you in? Perhaps Lewis and Clark have not finished your area yet. Aside from the occasional error in the map I cannot imagine why you'd be off frequently.

As for the voice commands, you need a pretty good cell signal. I get a lot of errors on that too.

Wow, Ed, well traveled! I live in Southern California, in a very well mapped area. There's definitely something wrong with the navigation. It's way off, more often than not, and google maps is right on. When I first got the car it worked well.

I'll take it to a service center, hopefully it is just a firmware update. Other than that, the G70 is excellent 👌

EdP is an awesome guy for advice. Thanks EdP for chiming in. Just such a newer car think that the firmware needs an update.
