23 G70 SP...would a full-size spare replacement fit (nicely) in the donut spot?

Title. I can't check now as my car is already being worked on for a new tire (damaged beyond repair this morning) but I'm thinking of calling them back and asking them to just buy 2 tires (the OEM tires are difficult to find apparently, and the tires only have ~1500 miles on them)...and replacing the donut I had to throw on this morning.

Yes and no. Full size wheel/tire will fit in the trunk where the donut goes, but you won't be able to put the package shelf (fit on top of the donut) back on. IMO, FS spare is not worth the hassle.

It should fit in the hole fine, BUT I'm sure the cover wouldn't sit flush, especially with a wider rear wheel/tire. So it'd render your trunk useless for anything else, basically. That's why I always use a flat tire repair kit (personally use Stop'nGo myself) if possible, and leave a spare as a last resort (never needed one so far in my 61 years). Plus you can monitor pressure with a patched tire.
