  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

'23 G70 w/1,600 miles, already in the shop (2weeks & counting)

Agreed. I'm really curious as to their reasons.

That said, I have only been driving this loaner for 6 days and I am already fully used to it. So it was at least a quick learning curve for me. Now, someone that's been driving these vehicle for many years I can see taking longer to get used to. And of course I'll have to relearn when I pick up my '23 this Saturday :)
For sure it is something a driver can get used to fairly quickly. Problem is when a driver has to change vehicles regularly. We have 2 Stingers and a G70, as well as two other cars. Every time I drive one of the other two cars, it always takes me a good while to "relearn" which buttons do what. At least the 3 corporate cousins are exactly the same... and that's nice.

Well, I'm eyeing another G70 in another 1-1/2yrs or so. If that happens, going back and forth will be interesting. The older I get, the slower my geriatric brain adapts. :)

@Volfy has more Stingers and G70s than anyone other than the actual companies! LOL

G70 Magma looks to be coming soon!

LOL. Funny thing is, with each of our Stingers and G70, we actually started out looking at other car(s). All 3 instances, I ended up with this platform because it just suited the purposes for which we wanted the car each time.

For example, with the G70, my oldest son wanted to learn how to drive a manual that would serves well as a college car and occasional AutoX/track bunny. We were originally looking at the Mazda3, and later switched out sights on the Veloster N. At the time Genesis was on their last round of incentives to help move the last few leftover brand new G70's. At around $35k, the 2021 G70 6MT was very close to what a new Veloster N would've been. In terms of raw performance, the N would've have been the better choice, but as an overall package, the G70's luxury and build quality was far better. Plus it is a proper RWD.

Just picked the car up, CEL is off, car is washed, all is well. Victoria, again, was very sweet. She and the kid who pulled my car up were both professional and friendly. It's kinda cool... they pull it up indoors, and you get in and drive out with this big automatic door that opens as you approach it. Really nice especially if it's raining out. Anyhow, I do appreciate how it's more of a luxury experience than a normal service department.

Only ONE problem... Someone stole my $8 Android auto cable. Apparently that person needed it more than I did. Back to Amazon to order a new one...

All said and done, despite the hiccups and snafu's, I am content and satisfied with the overall experience.

Yeah, that's terrible. Nothing's sacred anymore. it's a shame.

I'm glad you got your car back and all is well!
