  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Has anyone tried 245/40/20 tires to give a bit more comfort on their 20s? I know the difference and speedometer is around 3.9% more but the popular 255/35/20 seems a bit rough and delicate on crappy roads

40/20 in the rear or the front?
I am not sure if that would work.
I thought the safe bet for 20s (if they are not deep dish or have a big lip) would be 245/25/20 (Front) & 275/30/20 (Rear)
I THINK.
I am getting my wheels this week and will have to play it by ear.

i fat fingered...
it was supposed to say 245/35/20 and 275/30/20

WELP looks like the previous owner for my wheels i got today has some Falken 245/40/20s up front and 275/35/20 for the rear. They came off a 2013 Genny Sedan...
HMMMMMMMM

Thats going to look good, snap a pic

I will. I just need to replace the tires in the back. They are done...
I still have to install my COILS....HMMM...Should I wait?

I ran 245/40/20 all around (9/10.5). Unfortunately, there is no stretch on the front 9", so could not go very low. Rode well, except Falken are shit tires in the rain. Switched wheels - I'm hoping to go up to a 40/35 profile mix with my next set of tires (10/11" wheels). I like the meatier look. If you look at my album with the 5 star wheels, that is the 245 setup. I would recommend it, if you can get your suspension dialed in.

DUDE the wheels I got have Falken tires on them. Those 20s are SHOT. The guy I got them from said just the rears need replacing. Uhhh how about all of them. My 18s factory I bought the Z rated Falkens. MAN, im 30k in and they are about done. I dont think I will buy that brand anymore. LOL

Keep us posted on your results. I am curious if I need to change my wheels.

It works. I have them on my V6 2013 sedan. No issues at all. Gas milage goes down and it becomes slightly slower.
