  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Whats the feeling about this limited time lease of only $299 instead of $399?
I leased my car 5months ago at $399 plus add ons for the tech package etc. and its $479/month.
Any possibility of negotiating a lower payment with the dealer, or turning the car in for a new one at the lower price? I can't find my paperwork regarding the penalty for cancelling the existing lease

$299 with how much down?

About right!!! lol

No joke. Ad on TV says 999 down, 299 /month for 36 months.

What area of the country? 5K per year on milelage? A great deal even for stripped down $33K vehicle.

Awesome deal. I imagine our car depreciates 400 a month anyway.

This was on TV in Central Florida where average home price has gone from 205,000 to 81,000 and unemployment is 17.5%
Could be the reason?

That's not the reason....... just remember the saying......"the devil is in the details"....... no way to read the fine print they put on TV.... and of course it's designed not to be able to read it.... (pass another law!!!)

You can be your sweet butt there are limitations out the ying yang on that deal.

But, back to your question...... I doubt seriously you can get out of that lease and come out a winner.

No, really my $400,000 home is worth only $150,000 and unemployment is now 25%. But my 2 year old Genesis has loss little value. Dealer keeps calling to buy a 2014 , giving me what I payed for my car--- says he has many buyers. All this is NOT really true.
