  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

According to this article published in Yahoo Korea site, Hyundai will be preparing a new generation Genesis Sedan to debut in the second half of next year with many improvements. New Genesis Sedan is due to receive a 3.3 Turbo GDi engine instead of the 3.8 GDi.

Like in the Kia GT concept, the output will be around 395 hp. Also it will be most likely mated with a 10 spd transmission and All-Wheel Drive system.

That would be nice - likely more torque, better high altitude performance...all that in an AWD Genny wagon would be a dream (that will probably never come true).

If they had kept the 4.6 V8, I think the 3.3 GDI would've made sense, to differentiate the models a bit.

Not sure about a Turbo version of that engine, but I can totally see them offering a 3.3 Turbo & the 5.0.

How about a 5.0 Turbo, mmmmm?

Keep in mind that the Korean Genesis Sedan has always been available with a 3.3L engine, so that does not necessarily mean that it will come to USA, even with turbo added. But the new CAFE requirements are going to be brutal on the manufacturers, so engines are definitely going to get smaller.

I would have taken a 3.3 turbo 400hp over the na v8 5.0
