  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2020 g70 3.3t coolant temperature sensor needs replaced but I can't find any thing telling where the sensor is located. Any help is greatly appreciated. Sorry in advanced if this has been asked and answered already. New here and haven't figured out how to do the searches just yet.

How do you know the sensor is bad if you haven't even found it to test it or the wiring going to it?

Check engine light and scanner code leads to coolant temperature sensor. But yes you are correct I can't do anything until I find the location of it.

Trace the radiator hoses. Should be on either the thermostat housing or water pump assembly. Both are typically mounted on the engine block. Should be easy to spot, since most of the cooling system is mechanical. The coolant temp sensor is about the only thing with a wiring connector coming out of it.

Im havng the same issue finding it its on the thermostats housing just cant seem to locate it.

Here is an image of the thermostat assembly from eBay.
I believe that the temperature sensor is the brass and black thing sticking up near the back of the image. On the car, this should be at the back of the engine with the sensor on the driver's side. The other black electrical connector at the front is the heater for the thermostat. It is on the passenger side.
Good luck. The whole thing is very difficult to get to.
