  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I thought I had the difference figured out but after reading some of the posts, I am actually more confused about the equipment difference between the 3.3t RWD in Sport and in Prestige trims.
I was dead set on going for a Sport but after seeing a Prestige with the light grey interior, I am reconsidering it since I really really like the light interior and the 10 spoke rims.
I thought that the only difference between the Sport and the Prestige, besides the aesthetic bits (dark chrome, interior, rims) was the adaptative suspension but some posts are confusing me. Are there any other differences such as tires, brakes, etc?

The Sport has 5 spoke tires and the RWD Prestige 10 spoke (but I think you figured that out already); but I believe the RWD has the same staggered tires as the Sport. (The AWD Prestige has 20 spoke and All Season non-staggered tires).
I got the Prestige light grey interior (and love the look of it)--but I have the AWD, so am not as good for info as those with the RWD Prestige. I actually really like the 5 spoke tires on the Sport, but wanted a different tire set-up. Another benefit to Genesis--there are multiple different set-ups so can usually figure out one that works for what you want.
:)

As far as mechanical bits, the Adaptive Suspension is the big one. Otherwise the Prestige has nicer interior options.
Exterior is negligible based on taste. Dark chrome, bronze accents, wheels, and etc.

I own a 3.3T Prestige RWD. I decided to get it over th Sport because of the 10 spoke rims and the light Grey interior.
The differences as you said are that the Sport RWD has Adaptative suspension, dark chrome accents and dark 5 spoke rims, black quilted Nappa leather interior with red or grey stitching.
Prestige RWD has Grey or black quilted Nappa leather seats but the quilting is different than the Sport, it has 10 spoke 19" staggered rims with the same Pilot PS4 tires as the Sport but it has NO Adaptative Suspension. The rest of the car remains THE SAME. No other differences between both.

Thank you for your replies, I am more and more leaning towards the Prestige since I really like the light interior (there is something very Bentley-ish) and the 10 spoke wheels but I wanted to be sure I was not losing anything on the performance bits (besides the adaptative suspension but from some reviews it looks like the "base" setup is excellent anyway). It will be a hard choice since I really like the dark chrome and the adaptative suspension is appealing but I find the dark interior a bit too dark (since the headliner is black as well), decisions, decisions!!!

Hold on a sec, I know the US doesn't have Caramel Brown interior like we do, but don't you have the Cream or Velvet Burgundy available for the Prestige either?

Funny, from your profile picture, it looks like you own the exact configuration that I am thinking about (still hesitating between Havana Red and Mallorca Blue)

I think that the cream is only available on the Design edition. Not sure about the burgondy: I saw it in the brochure but the configurator does not show it...

MB was my second choice. In USA Light cream interior is just for the Design edition.

Yes--light cream interior is Design only (Dk Green exterior) and no burgandy that I am aware of or have seen. We also did not have the dark brown exterior choice or brown interiors (which some thought would look really good with the dark green exterior).

Have to admit I love the Prestige grey interior--it is really 2 tone because there is quite a bit of black. But you do give up the dark chrome choices--which are also really nice.

That is part of the decision process. I also prefer the quilting pattern in the sport interior with the gray stitches, it will be hard to make a choice...

Agreed--and I liked the quilting with the grey stitching. With Prestige Trim you still get the quilting (though as danygenesis mentioned it is a bit different and, of course, not with the grey stitching).
It took me some time to decide--so definitely take the time now--but once you decide everything about it will reaffirm your choice for you (whichever way you go) because it is a great car.

Anyone here have the Gray interior and can put up some interior shots?
I will try to remember--I don't think I have taken any pics of interior yet. There are a lot of pics on-line. The grey is very light and it has a black trim on the seats. The quilting is also on the door panels.

I really liked a light interior and I love the dark chrome so I was in a dilemma between both but what made my final decision easier was the look of the Havana Red with the 10 spoke rims. IMHO it looks better with the 10 spoke versus the 5 spokes. If the car were silver, white or SI maybe I would bought the Sport.

I like the look of the light interior however I have young kids so I always worry about the dirt aspect.... just may not be that practical for me.

The leather is light grey and the doors have light grey and black; the floor is black--so primarily it would be whether the light grey would stand up to your kids. (I had a light tan with kids previously and did fine--but just depends.)

I’m looking at the same Sport v Prestige choice and leaning toward Prestige in part for the wheel difference. I wish adaptive suspension was part of the prestige package. NLJ mentioned interior options were better in Prestige but I only see the leather colors as different. Anything else?

Has anyone seen a Design trim in person? Haven’t yet but like how it looks in pictures. Mostly wondering how the green exterior looks in the real world. Looks great online but you never know.

I would not worry about that, all it takes is a bit of leather cleaner (Lexol is great), 15 minutes every 3 months and you keep your light seats like new.
My wife had a CX9 with light tan interior that we bought when my kids were born. We sold it after 6 years with the seats still looking like new. Leather is easy to clean. BTW black seats get dirty too, it just shows less but the grime is there :)
I never had a black interior since I really don't like the darkness and the lack of contrast (the G70 Sport is the first one that I am considering since the grey quilting and the black piping provides visual interest) but transporting young kids is not a factor for choosing the interior color since I know how easy it is to clean (and I am busy and don't find as much time as I would like to detail my cars)...
