  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi everyone, I am looking for a 2020 3.3t sport with AWD in Florida, but they're really hard to find. The reason I want one is because that in central FL it rains a lot so additional grip would be great. Would shipping one to here from an out of state dealer would be a good idea? Also is Circle pricing a good idea as well? Thanks

A few people here have bought cars from a distance. It is possible to buy one and go get it a thousand or more miles away or to have it shipped. There are a couple of them in New London CT at a pretty good dealer, Easy ride down 95 about 1300 miles. I bought mine there when I lived in CT.

Well I found a couple of them in GA and NC but honestly dont want to drive over there. Not sure how complicated shipping will be. Sorry I've been a long time lurker, but is circle pricing still available on this forum?

Depending on exactly where it would be $600 to $900. You can get quotes on line or perhaps the selling dealer knows a good carrier with good prices. Enclosed carrier would cost more. Would take at least a few days depending on what is moving at a particular time. This time of year a lot of cars are coming down for the snowbirds.

I paid something like 1800 to have mine shipped 4 big states away. It was a little pricier because I wanted an enclosed container. Even so, you could get it shipped in a closed container for cheaper than that - just go straight to the source (ie the trucking company) and don't do a 3rd party/liaison like I did. Cut out that middle man and you'll save a few hundred bucks.

In a State whith no less than 400 G70s on the lots, there are only four 3.3T AWD in stock, one 2020 and three 2019s. Without the choice of ordering directly from Genesis USA, you are almost forced to buy out of State.

Have you a friend you could fly somewhere to bring it for you, someone trusted to inspect and confirm? Know someone in the target area who could drive it to you and then fly home?
Maybe someone on this board
In the past the Circle pricing available through a member here requires maybe 15 to 20 messages on the board to eliminate trolls and other troublemakers.

You can also look into "ordering" with your dealer. I "ordered" mine--which basically meant that as the dealer sold cars, they put in a specific request for the vehicle I wanted.
I have also purchased from out-of-state previously, and in one instance, the dealer paid for shipping.

Just to make sure, I would be paying FL sales tax correct? Even if I order out of state? Thanks for your help all.

Correct. If you order through a local dealer it is just like any other car sale. If you make the buy from an out of state dealer you may have to do a bit more legwork for the registration and tax payment.

When I lived in CT I was near the border with MA and all the dealers there handled cross state sales with ease. It was just a few miles away. If you were to buy from a guy in Wisconsin, they probably can't do much for you with registration.

You may want to visit a local dealer and tell him what you want. He may do all the work for you if the car is not too far.
