  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

3.8/4.6 BTR Tunes Ready To Ship!

So maybe I am reading the Dyno results wrong but BTR claims there is more power throughout the entire power band but it appears to me the power does not surpass that of the stock tune until well into the 5k RPM range. I guess the acceleration appears to be more linear on the BTR tune with a smooth increase from 2k all the way to redline. However, the one thing I like about how my car currently runs is how immediate the power comes on from the lower RPM's. I will say, it does build to its plateau quickly which numbs the acceleration feel throughout the power band but it seems as if the BTR tune would hurt acceleration. Am I completely off here? I am no expert at reading Dyno results so anyone with more experience please feel free to expose my inner noob :D

Making about 75 more lb/ft around 2700rpm, 50 more at 3000 etc, the rev range where most people spend 90% of there time driving. That's a pretty freaky huge difference if you ask me brother.

Talked to them today and the 5.0 ECU is ready for shipment. Now $950 costs with new ECU. Does allow you to change into old one before inspections. Go to web site for more info. May try it since it does have a nice progression after 4K and they swear that they will refund full amount if not satisfied with results of your dyno pulls. So easy to interchange can do 2 & 2 pulls and know difference immediately. If I get 25rwhp & 30 lbs+ of torque I will be happy.. On my previous dyno runs we found that a lot of the bull about air filters unleashing hp doesn't add up. Had only a 4+ hp max gain with out any filter and wide open box over the stock filter/box with magnetics delete, no torque increase.. Would not even see that on the road. But hey, the added noise adds a lot of HP! So don't take all the ads as fact.

I put my order in today...I already had my car dyno'd so I've got a baseline...and I'm with you on the lack of results from intake and exhaust...but I'll give it a shot since I enjoy the car...ill post results as soon as I get it in about 2-3 weeks and it will be dyno'd...

Great! Waiting to see what yours comes up with before and after dyno. Make sure you use same dyno and note any different conditions.

I never Followed up after the tune event - final numbers for me were 333/328 at the wheels. Well worth it, IMO.
