  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi folks - just joined after 'lurking' for the past few weeks in purchase analysis/decision mode.

Never would have thought I'd be cross-shopping a Hyundai vs. an Infiniti G and others.

All up and all in, the broad balance of quality, content, power and styling converted me (and I currently drive an '07 Infiniti G35). Note I didn't even say 'for the money'...the standard caveat used when justifying a Hyundai purchase.

Anyway, as I've done with previous purchases, I've scanned the forum for any possible 'flags' to look for on delivery. I've noted the comments around tire pressure, but was wondering if anyone has any other thoughts or experiences about things to watch for at delivery that might have been missed in assembly or dealer prep (or any recent TSB's that should checked).

Your thoughts/input appreciated. Really looking foward to the new vehicle!

dg - many thanks for the redirect to that previous post...a great, consolidated resource for folks about to pick up their new Genesis.

Will be interesting to see if the 'liner' is included in my Canadian version when I pick it up.

Of interest, my dealer up here has all the badging in stock and we're negotiating as a dealer install - they quoted $100 bucks.

What kind of badging? Just front/back or with wheel caps? Probably not the airbag cover replacement, since the part cost alone would be higher than that.

Exactly. Front/back...and we're discussing the caps as part of that number (since this forum provided me context around badge prices via ebay). Definitely not air bag at that price...they didn't even think they could source it easily or economically.

Yeah, you can get the badges for under $30 shipped, so unless they're going to do the wheel caps too, that's $70 labor/markup.
