  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Noticed that when entering the car while the drivers door is unlocked the other 3 have locked evidently on exiting, thinking this may be a safety feature to keep unwanted individuals from jumping in while I’m getting in the drivers door, wifes getting irritated finding the passenger side door locked.... am I correct?
Is there a way to have all doors unlocked until the cars in motion?

try hitting unlock twice... but there's a setting in the car that unlocks all doors. Don't know off the top of my head right now but it's in the menu somewhere.

Was the driver door locked too? There is a setting to choose between driver door and all doors with one touch. You can hit the button twice to unlock all. The reason is as you say, for safety.

Also there are setting for locking and unlocking when you shift to park or into gear. There is a way to get out of the car and the other doors will not unlock.
Speed sensing door lock system
All doors will be automatically locked
when vehicle speed exceeds 9 mph
(15 km/h).
All of the doors will be automatically
unlocked after the engine is turned
off.
Shift lever auto door lock
All doors will be automatically locked
when shifting the shift lever out of P
(Park) with the engine running.
You can activate or deactivate the
Auto Door Lock/Unlock features from
the User Settings Mode on the LCD
display.

There is a condition when you shut the car off the other doors do not unlock. I thought it was on the shift by wire when you don't hit the Park button manually but I'm not sure. Check when you shift to park that all dorrs unlock when you stop.

This is a common safety feature in the car industry, the cool thing about the genesis is you can over ride it (in the dash menu). I wish this were true on my last car, and my other current car my wife drives.
